Guest guest
I'm a 18 yr old male 6' 1 " 190lbs. I've been lifting for mass for the past 2 yrs. Im going to start olympic weightlifting because I want to increase my overall fitness and most of all go to the olympics by 2008 or 2012. I probably wont enter any competitions for at least 2 yrs as I've never even attempted an Olympic lift. I've order a couple books to get started ( " The Weightlifting Encyclopedia " and " An Introduction to Olympic-Style Weightlifting " ). Well, my one question is am I to old to be thinking of lifting in the Olympics? NJ USA *** Please give full name ***

Find yourself a good coach, learn the lifts and see how you get on. You're certainly not too late to learn the lifts. I started at 41 and I'm a total convert to them. They're undoubtedly the most fun I've had on two legs. The only things that come close are mountain climbing and motorbike riding. Cheers
