Hi to all! It's been a long time since I've been on the site, but

thought it was time to check in and share Frazier's success!! I tried

to post some pictures, not sure if it worked! Our story begins when

Frazier was 3 months old, I started to worry about the odd shape of

his head. He had the traditional flat right side and he looked

extremely strange in the mirror. His ears were a bit off and he

preffered to only look to the right. Thanks to the internet, I found

this site in May of 2001. I immediately began to panic. We got

Frazier into see a neurologist and a neurosurgeon immediately with

the help of a doctor friend. Frazier was diagnosed with moderate

plagio and mild torticollis. The surgeon we saw at Dupont Hospital

for Children in Wilmington Delaware told us he'd grow out of it and

sent us to rehab for the tort. I wasn't sure he'd grow out of it and

I went back in forth - " to band or not to band " until finally we

actually had Frazier casted for the STARband. But I felt sick to my

stomach about it, and after talking to family and friends and another

non-banding mom from this site, we cancelled the making of our band!

We have never looked back since! We practiced re-positioning as best

we could (but not frantically) and his head got better with each

month. Frazier's head is perfect now at 18 months old! There is NO

sign of plagio. We are a true non-banding success story! I know every

story and every head is different, but we just wanted to share what

we've been through! Thanks and hope everyone is doing well!

Eileen,

Congrats! What an uplifting story! Frazier sounds just like my son Mack.

Mack is 2 months and I feel he has moderate plagio and mild tort, but looks

left. Your story is very helpful. Thankyou!
