Guest guest
Mr Haycock has always some interesting new ideas. He had an article about hypertophy specific training in the issue before that was also quite different from the programs most people do. I think the concept of protein pulse feeding is worth considering, especially if you have the high protein meal after a workout. I think 80% is a bit extreme, as this leaves very little protein for your other meals, especially if you eat 5-6 times a day. Maybe 50% or so could be used. Studies on murine subjects seem to show that eating protein in smaller, more frequent intervals results in less protein waste and is therefore more beneficial for tissue growth (1). This, however, does not take exercise into account. Given the body's anabolic enviroment, post-training, consuming larger amounts of protein in this period would ostensibly produce much better results.
