Hi :

I have seen the same thing, and agree with you completely. Just the

state of our healthcare system, I guess, as babies don't have a

voice, nor political power with their vote. (As opposed to, say, our

elders who belong to AAARP and have reps working on their healthcare

issues).

What a sorry, sorry state to be in, that our country as a whole

thinks so little of children that we won't even take care of them

properly. And the helmets are SOOOOO cheap. $2000 - $3000 is SO

CHEAP to fix this problem, really, compared to any other healthcare

issue - like psychological care for a damaged self-esteem, or, God

forbid, detox for someone who " never fit in " because of teasing, etc.

and turned to self-medication to ease their pain.

Really, really lame.

It is very interesting, they most likely don't type it online or give

it to you in actual writing, becuz IF the child's head does not round

on it's own, you would have excellent grounds for a lawsuit. That is

what happened in that New Jersey lawsuit where the parents won and

got a good settlement.

Debbie,

Yea..that's true. But if they don't feel comfortable enough to have that in

writing (that it will round out itself or whatever)..then they aren't too sure

of what they are telling people...LOL. Oh well...hopefully more and more

doctors will do some research and learn something...

,

You are right, it is interesting that the advice online and elsewhere

doesn't comply to what so many hear in the doctor's office.

I wonder if part of it has to deal with the fact, that in the

confines of their own office, a doctor can just about say whatever

they darn well please. But with some type of publication, there are

editors, publishers, copy righters, etc. whose reputation is also on

the line if bad information is given. Maybe the editor, or whomever

has them err on the side of caution and promote seeking treatment

rather than waiting it out? I really don't know, it is very

interesting indeed.
