Hi Kim:

Welcome to the group! I'm glad to hear you've been reading thru all

the emails of the group for a bit now.

Great news to hear Sky has seen correction in her helmet already.

Would you mind sharing some more of Sky's plagio story with us all?

What type of helmet is she in (STAR, DOC, local)? All the good

plagio info we like to hear!

Welcome again :) WE look forward to hearing more from you & best of

luck with Sky's helmet success!

answered one

yet. Yours just struck me b/c my daughter Sky, almost 9 months now,

was

casted at about 7 1/2 months. She has now had the helmet for 5 wks.

So, we

are still pretty new to the helmet. I have had very mixed emotions

also. It

is a hard thing but I think the best. Good news, we have already seen

improvement & that is confirmed by the adjustments that have already

been made

to the helmet. I didn't believe it could work so quickly, hopefully

that will

be the caase for you also. One down side, Sky did have trouble

adjusting & I

have heard it is harder for the older babies - which makes sense -

so, if it

is frustrating just stick with it!!!!!

Hi Kim and Skylar, welcome to the group!

Thanks so much for giving us some background into your story.

Unfortunately, your story with the ped is all to common. Luckily

cranio was ruled out, and now Sky is on her way to a rounded head!

Do you live in Philadelphia, or did you have to drive a distance to

ChOP? We live in Philadelphia, and my twins wore STARbands as well,

I was just wondering where Sky got her band from?

Anyway, its nice to have you both with us, and we all look forward to

getting to know you more! Take care!

Kim:

Thanks for the addt'l information on Sky. My Abby's plagio also

began in utero, she didn't move much at all while in my womb either

(boy has that ever changed!). We also noticed on Abby's wkly

ultrasounds for the last 10 wks, that she was stuck in the same

position, or course plagio never crossed my mind then.

That's great Sky is in a band now. You'll be seeing improvement in

no time!

Welcome again....Please keep us updated on Sky. Good luck.
