With the holidays just around the corner, a topic that may be timely is what

effect alcohol consumption has on fitness levels. In particular, what are the

consequences for a competitive athlete who goes out one night and gets bombed? I

am also curious as to the effects of someone having a couple of beers on a daily

basis.

I have always heard drinking has a negative effect on someone's fitness level

but I am curious what is truth and what is myth.
