Hi all.

Niki I am dedicating my first post to you.

Went to see the cranialfacial dr. at UCLA for Eytan this morning. She left the decision up to my husband and I to get Eytan a helmet or not. She told us he was a perfect candidate, and left it up to us. We walked out with a prescription for the helmet. Last week we had an appt. with a tort. specialist and he wouldn't prescribe a helmet, told us to continue repositioning. Well, this left us with 2 different opinions - where to go from here? It just so happens, today Eytan had a visit with the PT, so I asked her what she would do. And without any hesitation, she said she would put the helmet on him.

Both my husband and I are going with the helmet therapy. I know repositioning helps, but how much? Eytan is already 7 1/2 months old and at this point you can only do so much reposition with a "worm." He's all over the place, especially when he sleeps. Best of all, he likes to sleep on his stomach through the night. So where to I go from here with repositioning? Not too far, I think.

So, I have contacted my insurance company and have gotten the ball rolling. Hopefully, this will be a quick, easy, and painless process. Let you all know. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Talk with you all soon.

(Eytan's mom)

PS - , I didn't forget to use the spell check.
