Debbie,

We also got about 50-60% correction with my daughter, except she started

earlier (9 mo) with moderate plagio, and were only in the band 3.8mo.

I looked at Abby's before & after pictures on plagiocephaly.org. It

definitely looks like she got some good correction from the photos. I'm

curious, was there any discussion of a second band for you daughter?

BTW, my daughter's bird's eye before & after also show good correction, but

most of her residual flattening is at ear level and below. Are Abby's ears

still out of alignment when you look from below (chin up)?

Debbie,

First I want to thank you for sticking around so long after your daughter

completed treatment. It is so helpful to have people around who have that

longer term perspective.

I'm so sorry to hear about your problems with Abby's StarBand. That had to

be so frustrating to start earlier and not get results. You must have been

in total band fatigue by the end of two bands!

My daughter will be a few days shy of 16mo when she gets her second band on

August 15th. Of course, my husband has one more day to convince me

otherwise. LOL. My daughter has tons of hair, so no one (including me) sees

her head asymmetry unless her hair is wet. So this really is just a

question of whether her remaining PP will be a medical issue in the future.

BTW, did they ever give you any pre-post band severity or measurements for

Abby? Do you think she'd gotten any additional correction since she got out

of the band?
