I am looking for a pediatrician to refer my daughter for a DOC band.

Has anyone in Buffalo NY had any luck with a specific doctor. I'd

I'm sorry I cannot help you with any referrals in your area, but I

just wanted to welcome you to our group. We do have a few NY and NJ

members in our group, I'm sure they'll give you some names.

Would you please share some more of your daughter's plagio story if

Hi,

I'm in NY, but I'm on Long Island. I couldn't find a specialist to

help me. Not on LI and not in NYC. I took my daughter to Cranial

Technologies in NJ for a free consult. They took pictures of

and wrote a report. They sent it to my pediatrician. I then went to

her and asked her to write me a script for the DOCband. After she was

the pictures and the report, she wrote it!! I know of one Mom, from

another board that is in Poughkeepsie (sp?) she went to Connecticut

for her daughters treatment. If you'd like I can get you in touch

with her.

Last month someone found a great orthotist in Rochester who does

STARBands. I think it was Sue Ellen?

If you want a DOC band, Cleveland is probably the closest. It would

be a 3 hour drive or closer depending where in Buffalo you live. It

is right off 271. They have weekend appointments and free

consultatations. The number is 440 460 0923. My son got his band

there and looks great.

If you tell your ped that you have decided to band, he should write

you a script.

My husband is from Buffalo (by the zoo).
