1st weekend in band & questions

Well, we survived, I think. has now spent two days in her band. Already scratched up my beautiful paint job. )

I have a question about red spots. How dark would they be if we saw any? When we took it off, it seemed like there were a few areas that were kind of pink, but not really red. Is this what we're looking for? I'm scared that we may be putting it back on when we should be leaving it off??

Also, have any of you noticed a personality change with the band on? isn't crabby exactly, she just doesn't smile. She sits there with no expression at all. That hour she had it off for a bath and rest, she smiled and giggled and carried on like normal. The minute the band went back on, she went back to the dull expression. Any thoughts on this?
