Guest guest
Hi , I too was sooo nervous before 's casting.. all for nothing. It really isn't all that bad! They don't cast the face, it does look like that in the pictures. The stocking they put over his face, is so they don't get any plaster in his eys. It really is over quickly! I was so nervous the day of 's casting that I not only forgot her bath stuff, but I also forgot her formula!! I didn't need any bath stuff though b/c they have it all. I wasn't given a time limit on how long I could bathe her. It actually took me longer then usual, because she had a lot of plaster on her. As soon as she was out of the tub(sink) she was happy again! You'll see when it's all over, your going to wonder why you were so nervous!! ) Let us know how you make out, > is going for his casting on Thursday. Guest guest
Thanks so much Debbie!!! I cried BEFORE Abby's castings, just to get it out of the way so I'd be strong in front of her! Pathetic I know! You can bring your own bath supplies, I've heard that comforts the baby more having their own products/toys with them, otherwise, CT has shampoo, towels, duckies, etc.. Abby had a total of 4 casts done & they never casted her face. It might look that way in the pics, but they don't cast the face. The casting comes down pretty low past the eyebrows a bit, so they put the stocking over their face to protect their eyes. Abby has plaster stuck in her hair for a good week! I remember I took Abby to Kmart like 3 days after a cast, when someone said to me "looks like someone has been doing some painting" to abby - they thought the plaster was dry paint in her hair! LOL. Abby has/had a lot of hair, so it was tough to get out,but it eventually went away. And yes, it does only take 10-15 mins to cast.....and I'm sure will be back to his happy self within a few mins after the casting is done! It won't be so bad! Let us know how it goes, good luck!
