Guest guest
Hi everyone. I just wanted you all to know that I'm going to Unsubscribe for a while. We're moving next week and things are just totally crazy with the closings and trying to get packed. Thank you all for your support and help so far. I'll pick back up with you again in a few weeks. In the meantime if anyone wants to contact me here's my email: ejagos@... . Just a quick update before I go: Timmy has been doing better with his band. We went through a little rough spot last week with it irritating his forehead and him being unable to wear it for a few days. Also, Lynne at CT was on vacation, so I was getting help from Charlotte at CT in New Jersey. Well, what happened was that she Fed-Exed us some moleskin. I had to wait a few days for his skin to completely clear up, but by Monday morning I was able to put the band back on. With the moleskin, his forehead is staying clear, so thank goodness!! I was very glad I didn't have to drive to New Jersey. Now we can just go to our regular appointment on Friday. Also, this is interesting....I picked up Timmy's medical records because we are switching pediatricians. So, I decided to read through them. For the most part he saw one doctor, I'll just call him Dr. O. I KNOW that at every visit I mentioned his flat head, but nothing was written in his file. Except for his four month visit when he saw a different doctor, Dr. J. He made a note right in the file that says "mild plagiocephaly, reevaluate at 6 months." At 6 months we saw Dr. O. again and he didn't write anything down about it and just blew off my concerns. This is the same doctor that I saw at 8 mos. when I made a special visit just to discuss Timmy's head and he told me then "so what if his head is flat?" I am sooooo mad!!!!! If we had seen anyone but Dr. O. at 6 months, we probably would have started this whole process 2 months sooner. At four months, Dr. J. didn't tell me about plagiocephaly, but at least he was on the ball and looking out for it and knew it was something to watch. I am just so glad I'll never have to deal with that complete jerk of a doctor again! ~~
Guest guest
: Good luck with the move - doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun, but it'll be worth it in the end! I'm glad the moleskin seems to be working & Timmy is doing better. That's great CT was able to FedEx it to you so you didn't have to drive all the way there to pick it up. Sounds like Dr. O was a complete moron! Grrr....I'm happy that you've switched peds. and followed your own instincts about Timmy's plagio.! Hope to have you back soon!
