Guest guest
Hi All - I've read SOOO many emails saying how easily thier baby adjusted - is there ANYBODY out there that had a hard time???? Am I the only one??? Sky was 9 months old yesterday. She has had the hemet (Starband) for 6 wks now. She has gotten better about it - especially during the day. But, she is still waking over & over & over again at night.. I feel like a have a newborn again & I'm exhausted. Anyone else go through this for a prolonged period of time? Maybe it is just a stage she is going through having nothing to do w/ the helmet - it is so hard to tell. Good news is we are getting improvement - so no matter how tired I am, its worth it. Guest guest
Hi Kim: I'm so sorry to read your post :'(. Yes, we have had other group members whose baby also had a difficult time adjusting to their helmet or band. It is quite rare, but it does happen. Does Sky's band fit her ok? I'm sure it does, but you don't think it's uncomfortable or too tight anywhere do you? Is Sky teething? Maybe that could be part of the reason why she is waking at night becuz of teething pain? Have you tried giving her some tylenol or motrin before bedtime? If that would help & she'd sleep the night, then I would guess her waking would be teething related? I'm just throwing ideas out here! The good news though is that you're seeing improvment! YAY! Very happy to hear that at least, like you said, it's worth being tired for a few mos for a rounder head! Hope you get a good night's sleep soon!
