Guest guest
If you haven't discovered the bpchildren.com site, it is a pretty good source of books and info that are suitable for kids with bipolor disorder. , the mom who runs it, is a writer and has put together most of the material herself. She has just written a book that is excellent in which the kids themselves talk about how their disorder feels. Also interviewed are adults whose bipolar symptoms surfaced as children. You can order it from tracy@.... The book is very readable and is something that some of our children might like to read. Here's a blurb about the book: Young people with bipolar disorder and adults who grew up with the condition speak out to share how they experienced the symptoms of this illness during their youth, and how it affected their functioning in school, at home and with friends. Their insightful comments, woven together by the author, form an unforgettable picture of the young person's internal struggle and turmoil. The reader will come away with a new understanding of these young people and a renewed commitment to make a difference by reaching out to help.
