(April 1, 2006) — B & L Asia sales will likely fall

Bausch & Lomb Inc. estimated that the impact of suspending sales of

its ReNu contact lens care solutions in Singapore and Hong Kong will

reduce first-quarter vision care revenues in Asia by $10 million

against the company's expectations. B & L had stopped selling the

solutions there after a few dozen ReNu users there contracted fungal

corneal infections.

B & L said it is working with authorities to pinpoint the infections'

cause.
