Hi

I checked the analysis by gas chromatography for the Lavender

Seville. The only constituent that looks like it might be a ketone is

Fenchone at .40%. I am not sure if it is a ketone but it is the only

constituent listed ending in the letters 'one'. If Fenchone it is a

ketone, is the .40% concentration enough to cause the sweet/fruity

(berry) aspect to the aroma?

No, fenchone would not be sweet fruity. It's hard to say without actually

smelling the product. Sometimes lavender/lavandin absolutes do have a sweet

note similar to coumarin, dh coumarin and lactones derivatives. This note is not

apparent in the EO.

The sweet note is similar to what is found in flouve or certain hay absolutes.
