Guest guest
Hello all, I am returning to work after a year out on maternity leave. I am feeling a little rusty and wouldn't you know it my first patient is a elderly gentleman with bladder cancer. He is 72 yo and was diagnosed one year ago with bladder cancer. He has had BCG treatments as well as surgical sraping of the cancer cells. His last check up showed a return of the cancer where the urethra and bladder intersect. He self-diagonosed gluten and lactose intolerance 30 years ago and has been religious about avoiding those foods. He has had fibromyalgia for over 20 years and since nothing helped he just has lived with the pain 2/10 as background noise. He now has arthritic knees, but still skis whenever possible. He reports being in good health as a child. Does not remember the last time he had a fever. Has not had cold/flu in forever. Says he is colder than the average bear, has always been thin and needed an extra sweater. He does have GERD which he treats with 1/2 prilosec before meals. If he drinks cold water, or more than six/six ounces cups of water he has extreme belching and gas. He feels like he has been successful in life, feels his mood is good. He has no known chemical exposures. He is supposed to recieve another BTG treatment with interferon in two weeks. I sent him home with the BTG's and told him I would follow up with other recommendations. He is obviously has a failed immune system for 30 years, chronic inflammation and tissue deposition. I am thinking of starting with 2, 20 and 258 to begin general drainage. Does anyone have another idea of where to begin? Any ideas of how to optimize the BCG/interferon, anything I should avoid using with this treatment? How about his inability to drink all that water? Interested in any thoughts. thanks, Tufenkian ND __________________________________________________
