Guest guest
Ive had a neuro do similar things. He was a jerk anways, im not the only one hes given problems. I was admited to te hospital last year for migraine treatment(before we knew there was mold in our house), when the treatment didnt work, and not only didnt work but gave me a spasm in my corinary artery and almost put me into cardiac arrest(i got to experience what a heart attack feels like.. I dont wish it on anyone. Not as painful as my headaches however scarey as all get out!), he terminated my consult, changed my diagnosis to 'mild' and told me that he doesnt think i even have headaches that ive made it all up, and is now still canceling any referalls to neurology that my PCM puts in, on the basis that 'patient has seen multiple neuros with no change in condition'.. so hes just gonna ignore me. (and the reason id seen 'multiple' neuros, is because my FIRST neuro, who was actually NICE, got transfered to Germany.. thats the sucky thing about military doctors they always move!!) And take it from me - i have bipolar, and i have health problems from the mold.. and the only connection i could see is getting MORE depressed because im always so sick! Not being sick because im so depressed. Its the doctors cop-out. Something easy for him to blame her concerns on, and push her out the door. She doesnt need a psychiatrist she needs a good neuro, and to find a way to take care of cause of the problem(dont know what your friends situation is) -Nina > > Thank you all that responded to my request to gather appropriate articles > for my friend to take to her Neurologist for her follow-up appointment. > > > > I went with her. Guest guest
Someone on the board recently filed suit against a doctor for negligence for this sort of 'it's all in your head' behavior. Let's hope we start winning some of those cases as this is preposterous. -Haley --- who <jeaninem660@...> wrote: > sorry your friend suffered through that, its > a horrible experence. > please let her know she doesn't need a srink, > she needs a > knowledgeable doctor, and she should of told > him that maybe he should > see a srink. he sounds like some I have seen, > and I think some of > them knew but just didn't want to get involved. > remember, many do not > want this knowledge to come > out. > > > > > > > > > > Thank you all that responded to my request to > gather appropriate > articles > > for my friend to take to her Neurologist for > her follow-up > appointment. > > > > > > > > I went with her.
