I totally disagree with their statement: " " This led to our development of WGP® 3-6, the only nutritional supplement that is scientifically proven to enhance the immune system, supported by research that demonstrated and measured significant changes in immune response. " Biothera's patents cover the preparation and processing of WGP® 3-6. E.T. Horn is the exclusive distributor of this supplement. " There are a number of proven products that will enhance the immune system (Vitamin C, pure Ascorbic Acid being one). From my research the immune system is very complicated and often we don't want to enhance but modulate the system; that is if parts of the immune system are overactive and others are underactive we want to balance the system so we always need to be careful what we ingest. Guest guest
just a example rosie, of what you find under this topic on line, problem is also that I was tested for LGS, fibromyalgia, and they came back negitive as well. I see that its all because of my exposure and toxins in my body, and so many symptoms thought to be illnesses were just " like " illnesses, thats why tests were negative. > > >>On Behalf Of who > http://www.redorbit.com/news/health/412836/building_your_immune_system _t > he_natural_way_scientificallyproven_to_be/index.html>> > > Interesting article; however it is a pure advertisement for the company. Guest guest
>>----- On Behalf Of who oppps, thought you were refering to the candida link i posted, yes, I wondered about this article, figured you know. >> It was easy to see that the link you gave us is for a company promoting their own product. When I read their statement " the only nutritional supplement that is scientifically proven to enhance the immune system " I didn't have to read any further and that statement totally discredited the company. No credible company would make such a statement. One day the FDA, if they have time and find this statement, will order them to remove it. We need to be very careful what we read and recommend. Guest guest
Rosie, Yes I do happen to know why it is expensive.....I asked!!! Lol! The process of getting the IgG antibodies is a long one. It is made from plasma (blood) and it is spun really fast to separate the antibodies from the blood. Then it goes through several more " spinning " processes to separate the different antibodies. I get the IgG antibodies during my Infusions.( IgG and the 4 subclasses) I may even get a " sprinkling " of IgE and IgA but mainly the IgGs. (there is the medical term to the spinning but I do not know how to spell it right now. Brain not working very well. Anyway the IgG is packaged in 6 grams packages and if your Immune System does not respond well, they increase it by 6 gram increments. I am now up to 54 grams but I know on my next IVIG on 4/19/06 it will go up most likely 12 more grams. ( 66 grams) If I am really bad it may be more. I will let you guys know after the next IVIG how I am doing with it. For one reason, my Immune System is not responding well to the IVIG's like it did on the first one. The nurse's call the Immuno goblin " liquid gold. " That is why it cost so much. ( Plus all the other drugs they put into you before they infuse you. I did get them stop giving me the steroids with it. Yay! Take care, Marcie healthier4all <Healthier4All@...> wrote: Hi Marcie: We have lots of immune builders and immune modulators in bottles; however nothing like your IVIG I'm sorry to say. It costs $21,000 per treatment? Any idea why so expensive? Rosie >>On Behalf Of Marcie McGovern The only thing that is helping my Immune System is IVIG's every 4 weeks. I don't think you can get that in a bottle!!!! My Immune System is so bad even the infusions are having a hard time bringing my Immune System up. The cost of these Infusions are around $21,000. per treatment. If you find something in a bottle that will do better, please let me know. Thanks, Marcie>>> FAIR USE NOTICE:
Guest guest
Marcie, why do they put alot of drugs into you before the infusion? I wonder about steriods. How do they know the microbes aren't stimulated by steriods, rather than just your immune system. --- In , Marcie McGovern <marcie1029@...> wrote: > > Rosie, > > Yes I do happen to know why it is expensive.....I asked!!!
