I didn't mean geographical areas, I meant national sales in various " product areas " . Sales of organic/free range eggs, for instance, are now greater in the UK than those of regular eggs. Tisserand It's true............there is a great move towards supporting local business and farms..... living in a large sheep farming area..... and blessed with many artisans as well , choosing to live in this beautiful place..... we are spoiled for fresh farmed goods , organic veg, local meats (humanely killed) and fantastic cheeses sheep , goat and cow)......restaurents support the local produce and customers are now very discerning..... we have TyMyr paints down in the valley creating lime paints and colours from pigments.........Abergavenny near by now runs a food festival every year and fab chefs from all over the country come and talk and demonstrate...... artists ceramicists...... the list goes on .... every year hay-on-wye invites the whole world to their festival of art and literature where every subject under the sun is discussed argued and embraced.... etc...... turning the quote 'It is not the quantity but the quality' to a reality..... and people are looking for a quality not quantity of life...... finding simplicity and stopping the up with the 's pallava. Slightly deja vu, though of course there are many differences too. Tisserand Hi Balanced thoughts......... I am amazed at the growth in the US...... it is faster...the types of plant oils that are now available there...........totally amazing........ This brings us back to a complete circle to Burrs bumblings... .... synth molecules and all that (oh.oops. nearly fell asleep again there/grin) ...... natural perfumery is definately not stuck in the old ways ....... that is the beauty of it all..... We are now blessed with state of the art technology to extract plants in many forms ie: concretes, florasols, ess oils, absolutes, CO2, phytols etc which in itself brings on subtle nuances in the molecular structure of the aroma....... the combinations of this with the various types of extraction ...well, just think of the chat recently about using a touch of C02 with an OE creating a different energy........This for a composer / creative perfumer is endless...... we are just beginning ......so excited at the thought of it all Janita ascent established 1998 www.hayspace.co.uk
