Before Natural Perfumery I....

I felt extremely depressed with all the poor imitations out there. It's funny

thinking back as a young girl I must of seemed like a strange one!

I remember a time when my friends and I would be running the streets, chasing

each other as kids do and they'd turn to find me off in some strangers yard

smelling the roses, they'd ask " What are you doing? " I'd say.. can you smell

this !!! they'd just look so puzzled and reply.. it's just a stupid flower! and

off they'd go.

I had an elderly neighbor that had this beautiful garden with jasmine so

intoxicating! So when I found Avon's Wild Jasmine I thought I was in heaven!!

wore that for yeeears.

I also remember camping in the mountains as I was growing up and loving all

the smells around me, at night when we'd have a camp fire I'd throw in all the

things I gathered throughout the day(pine branches, needles, pinecones and old

tree bark) I loved the smell of the burning resin.and of course I'd have to

gather more for the trip home to make my own potpourri.!

I collected all kinds of strange things! growing up in Calif. we were

fortunate to have alot of citrus trees in our backyard (as well as fruit and

avocado trees) but after eating the oranges and tangerines I'd save the peels

just to keep this scent with me!

The sad thing though is, I believe I knew then what made me happiest, I knew

what I was looking for (the real thing) but I just didn't think it was

attainable (really) until Natural Perfumery! I just wish I would of known sooner

! Thanks Anya for creating such a beautiful group.

p.s. I still go camping and collect strange things(smile) but I stay out of

strangers yards! hee,hee
