Hi Anya, My best wishes and healing energy to Lucy! Please let Liz know to use some lavender EO in aloë vera gel on the burns. Seven and a half years ago my husband and I got caught up in an explosion at a marketplace. I had severe burns on hands and feet, my husband on arms, hands and face. We used a lot of lavender EO besides the conventional care. I truly believe that’s why we have very minimal scarring. Love, Saskia

Saskia, I totally agree with you about the aloe vera and lavender combo. It works synergistically. I live in Miami and many folks get sunburns when they come here for a visit, and those two together work much better than alone. I don't know if you know this, but Liz is a very respected aromatherapist in England, and well versed in lavender application, so I hope we can tweak her into adding the aloe to her medicine bag. I'm not sure if it's used a lot there, but we know its value here in scorchytown. Poor little Lucy. My heart goes out to her. We pray all the time for people on the lists I run. We'll add Lucy and her family to the lists. Beth -- " Don't be afraid of the space between your dreams and reality. Please send out good thoughts and prayers for a speedy, less painful recovery for Lucy and her family, who are all needing some hugs and love this week. Guest guest
Hi all First thanks Anya for letting everyone know what happened and instigating a healing *vortex* for Lucy. Just a quick up-date and thank you for all the kind thoughts and messages I got from you all both off and on list. Thanks Siska and Libby for your EO suggestions (yes - we do use Aloe by the way) but Lucy got burnt to badly to use anything other than a cold towel with an ice pack on top. The skin just started to blister and peel immediately. Her mum & dad just bundled her in the car and drove right to A & E (ER). They put some false skin on the burn and bandaged the leg from top to bottom, so we cant apply anything now. We are vaporising anti-infectious oils as infection is the thing the hospital are most worried about. Palmarosa especially... Anyway, today she's feeling brighter and already complaining that she will miss *all the end of term fun* at school! Tomorrow she's back at hospital for a check up to see if the false skin has taken (or stuck, not sure what term they use) - fingers crossed it has. I'm sure all that healing energy flying across to us has helped. (Thank you too, Beth, for adding Lucy to your lists.) Off to catch up on what I've missed Thanks again folks - kind messages and thoughts at times of stress really do help :-) Love Liz x
