Thanks Woody, thats good news. For those of you not aware the CPHVA also has a

picture booklet for assessing for perinatal depression in its 'How are you

feeling' series. These are accompanied by leaflets which can be left with

mothers for information and to encourage self referral. Available from our

bookshop (www.cphvabookshop.com) or 020 7878 2364) as are copies in English,

Bengali, Chinese, Arabic and Somali.

Best wishes

Subject: Royal College of Psychiatrists' material on perinatial

mental health now available in Urdu

Dear Senate and Daksha & Freya Empson trust members,

The RCPsych has teamed up with two psychiatrists from Karachi (Dr.s Ahmer &

Khan) to produce some Urdu language leaflets on mental health including

postnatal problems:

heme=print

<http://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/mentalhealthinformation/languages/urdu/postnatal.aspx?\

theme=print>

Sadly, in some urban areas infant mortality is inequitably high among the

families with mothers who were born in Pakistan, so almost any new material

might be useful?

English versions are available from the RCPsych so that anglophone

professionals can know the approximate content of these leaflets.

As-salaamu Alaikum,

Woody.
