This is interesting, reading on itching and liver issues, this article

says some treatments to releave itching in liver disease include the

use of cholestyramine:

http://porphyria.blogspot.com/2003_08_24_porphyria_archive.html

" At present there are several medications that are used for the

treatment of itch in liver disease. These medications include

cholestyramine, the antibiotic rifampicin, the opiate antagonists

naloxone and naltrexone, and the serotonin type-3 receptor antagonist.

These medications appear to decrease itching in many patients, but

there is no medication that works well for all the patients. This

reality underscores the need to continue to look for other medications

that may relief the itch secondary to liver disease. "

Again, I don't think anyone should freak out if they have itching. I

have been reading this because I broke out in a rash that looks as if

it is liver related at this point, perhaps brought on by daily Tylenol

use and other medications.

-no dought with me about that, my itching was bad but when I had to

have hisderictomy, every pain killer they gave me caused me to

scratch my face raw, I dont think codene is good to go with mold

exposure and I know that steriod shots are very bad. I have the

stranges reaction to pain killers, and haven't had good luck with

herbs either, hopeing this has gotten better sence last time I tried

herbs because it looks like that may be all that helps. those who

have reactions to herbs might be up a creek without a paddle. getting

ready to try a few again and will see if being out of the mold 4+

years has lessoned this reaction. tried them 1 year after, and 2 years

after with same responce. hate to try it again but I need to do

something. hopeing milk thisle wont have these effects on me. want to

try tea tree oil too. I have these honey caugh drops that seem to

help sooth the airways. I had reactions to asthma inhalants too, but

I'm thinking its from steriods in them. ? basicly I had reactions to

all prescribed med's during and after exposure, but look whats in

them. again I think this reaction is from mycotoxins in your system.

thinking the reactions to herbs is caused by the allergenic responces

(or irratants) caused by mold exposure which actually caused me to

become allergic along with possable genes to help that along. never

had allergies before mold exposure but did get posion ivy a few

times, so I'm guessing I have those

genes.
