[pafsinterestgroup] 22nd March international seminar 10-12md [2 Attachments]

Dear all

My apologies for the late notification, but we have an opportunity at King's that we would like to open to anyone who is interested. Two colleagues are visiting from the University of Sao o and one from the University of New South Wales, so we thought we would ask them to tell us (our students and practice teachers) about their work. I attach a flyer - the Stamford Street lecture theatre is very close to Waterloo Station, directly opposite the entrance to lin Wilkins Building and marked on map (also attached).

Chiesa developed an antenatal and postnatal/early years home visiting programme 'Windows of Opportunity' that has now been rolled out across seven cities in Sao o. Rita Bertolozzi is mainly interested in TB and promoting health amongst vulnerable populations. Lynn Kemp developed and trialled the Maternal and Early Childhood Sustained Home Visiting in a deprived part of Sydney, and it is now being rolled out in many places in Australia, as well as exciting interest here in the UK., see

Kemp L, E, McMahon C, Matthey S, Vimpani G, T, Schmied V, Aslam H, Zapart S. (2011) Child and family outcomes of a long-term nurse home visitation program: a randomised controlled trial. Archives of Disease in Childhood 96:533-540.

I hope some colleagues may be able to join us

best wishes

Cowley
