Actually this is a new thing she must be doing, when I had my explant

almost 4 years ago, the only thing she had me taking was 1,000mg of

vitamin C a day before the surgery so I don't know what the new

protocol is that she is doing now. I know the girls on

explantation.com can probably answer this one, as there are tons of

Feng patients on that site. I think on this site I may be the only

Feng patient, other than Kathy and I think again that she had her

explant before Feng started to do this vitamin thing.

I would not think there would be any side effects of the vitamins and

if the Dr is telling you to take them, she must know that they will

be helpful to you. Can you tell me what it is that she has you taking?

I am curious what she is doing now. Periodically I will call and talk

to (her office manager) to see what is up and how things are

goin etc.

It is nice to have such a fantastic team of strong, independant women

working with you. In fact the only male I saw there was the

anethesiologist. I just thought it was cool, to have that feminine

thing going on.

What is the premise for Dr. Feng recommending the vitamin C--I'm guessing to boost up the immune system?

I would asume that it is for the obvious reason of building up your

immune system. I don't even recall anything but getting the 1,000 mg

ones so that I could just take one a day.

She has this whole program now that she puts her patients on -- vitamins, anti inflammatories, etc. All to aid in the healing process.

Is healing from an explant hard???

Vitamin C boosts immunity ,is a powerful antioxidant, and greatly reduces inflammation. You would have to eat like 15 oranges to get what is is one 1000mg. But, interestingly-from reading Dr Lowe's book on Metabolism ,and also nutritional supplement books- you should only take one 500 mg at a time, as your body can only utalize 500 MG at a time. The rest is thrown out of your system. (The neon Pee!) So I take a 500 three times per day with meals. SO I get 1500 per day in divided dosages. I mean, why waste the money on a larger dosage you will never use, if the doctors are correct on this.

Its good Dr Feng is doing some kind of supplement program, when I went to her she wasnt doing any at all. Just the C , prior to surgery-like says. Love

The healing with the explant I went through was fine. Really easy. Probably, because my body was so relieved to have them out, I felt hardly any pain or problems. I just felt like I was sore, like being sore from working out too much , or getting punched in the chest. I didnt take any pain meds either. I was fine., Fine enough to take a 15 hour drive home the next day after surgery, and felt good enough to laugh the whole way home with my funny hubby!

I think alot of the supps are for immunity to handle to surgery on top of the implants.Like support. Thats what my PS had me taking them for. And to also aid in internal healing, and antioxidant protection. Before, all this: I was told by Dr Feng at a consult , I didnt need supplements (besdies vitamin c prior to surgery) or any "program" as I probably didnt have silicone poisoning, (they werent silicone gel) realy didnt have any type of toxicity and by just getting them out would help (most probably) To just try the surgery, and see. That some get ill, from reacting to implants, and in rare cases infection.

I didnt agree with all that, and although I think she is an exceptional surgeon, I believed I had more toxicity from having them almost 10 years. There was too much gray area, obviously she has changed her tune when it comes to that now by adding a supplement program , which is helpful. I opted for another PS with more knowlegde in holistic medicine. Thats what I needed at the time. Love,

I think that is great that she is doing that. Like I said when I went

to her it was the vitamin c only and I guess I obviously should have

clarified that it was 1,000 mg a day in 2 doses 500 in the am and 500

in the pm. Anyhow that was all I did. But yes I think more supps may

be better for sure. I am sure her explant program has evolved over

the years, she is such a detailed ps. As far as healing from the

explant itself, no that part is easy, way easier than healing from

getting implants. Of course I cannot predict how you will react, but

my experience was that it was cake compared to getting them in and I

think most women will agree.

At any rate, I think you will find the surgery is easy, getting

better if you have lots of illnesses and symptoms is another thing

completely.

That may take more time.

I would say that Dr Feng will guide you and will tell you what to do

to get better. She is really awesome and from what I understand is

doing allot more holistic things these days, which is really great.

good luck and ask me anything else you want, I am here for you.

hugs
