Guest guest
I have checked this out with DH and got this reply:What Cheryll is refering to is that when you want to make a comment of a storify piece you will need to login with either Facebook or Twitter.I have just checked this and none of your images or information is taken or stored by storify. It is just their authentication method so that when you comment on a storify piece it will them post it to your facebook wall too.I hope that this will reassure those who want to comment – guess more of us will have to sign up to Facebook!CheryllFrom: Cowley <sarahcowley183@...>Reply- < >Date: Sat, 30 Jun 2012 20:00:18 +0100 < >Subject: Re: DH storify timeline about 150 years of health visiting Thanks for the warning , that is not goodOn 30 Jun 2012, at 18:24, Coles wrote: I liked it too but tried to add a comment –about more mention of prevention – and found the site was an app that takes all your personal details/photos etc from facebook. Guest guest
Thanks for forwarding my concern, Cheryll, and thanks for the reassurance. I remain a little confused as on entering the comment the response was that I was agreeing to download a facebook app, which presumably one would then delete if not wanting other ‘Storify’ news. It seems a rather round the houses way of collecting comments and, as you say, excludes those not already on facebook or twitter. I guess the system works across these other links to someone’s advantage but it seems unnecessarily complex. I imagine authentication could be assured by an e mail address alone. It was however a very well put together display of the HV story. Is there anything else of this nature that you or anyone else on SENATE know of that I might be able to put my research skills to use for?
