Guest guest
Yes, many women return to work within a week. I am sure most could travel. Guest guest
Hi ! Make sure this surgeon is good you're going to. So you're in SF? What a great city. I'm in DC and Indianapolis part time. When are you getting explanted? Best wishes to you. Take Care. -Marielisa chung <holymary1974@...> wrote: hi lisa-marie, thanks for your messages. as for the FMS, i did see a rheumatologist and he did not seem to think i had it. mainly b/c the painful points were not tender to touch. but when i went to the chronic pain dept. the MD evaluated me as having "atypical" fibromyalgia.... whatever that means. and the reason for not having a lift is b/c i have very little breast tissue. i went from a small A to almost full A so i don't anticipate needing one unless of course the surgeon thinks otherwise. i'm doing better each day knowing that i will someday soon get these out. thanks again, and hope you're feeling well today lisaJane Doe <oceanlilly_csu@...> wrote: Hi ! Guest guest
, I was Christmas shopping 7 days after my surgery! Before then I could hardly get up off the couch! I felt great for several weeks after the surgery and then I got worse for a little while. I think I over-did it. That doesn't mean it will happen to you though. I would suggest just taking it as easy as possible. Even though you may feel fantastic, remind yourself you just had surgery and baby yourself. Is the wedding far away? Do you have to fly or drive? Guest guest
Dear , I've known some of the girls did remarkably right after surgery. In my case I was probably the worse case senario. However, even in my case I believe I could walk my dog at one week. You can drive at 2 weeks gently. I think you can handle the trip. I had silicone spill all over chest. Remember you will probably still have drains in which could be your biggest pain in the but. Hiding them is a bit of a problem I wanted to go to church and not have the bulbs at the end. So I pulled them off and doubled the ends up in the tubing. I wouldn't really suggest it. I got an infection in one side and kinda pussy stuff started to get in the drains. I had to go to ER and get on an antibiotic. I couldn't wait to get the drains out. by 9 days hopefully you can have the drains removed and then I think you'd be good to go. By 9 days you'll have a gauze bandage under each arm pit where the drains were and not much bandage if any at your breast though you'll probalby want a sport brah. You may feel comfortable continuing the ace bandage. I did for a while. Now I've heard you like an A cup. I still think I'm a B and I needed support. that's the main thing. Their going to hurt if you bounce. and of course people hugging you watch that. Like I said if you get the drains out I believe its doable. You'll have pain pills. God Bless, . Go for it girl, get those poison bags out. PS I did not have a lift. I did have silicones though. And extracapsular spills. I spent the night in the hospital. > hello, > > i was hoping to get any input on how things went right after a > normal routine explant surgery (w/o lift in my case)? i'm trying to > schedule my surgery, but have a wedding that i must travel to > exactly 9 days after. do you think this is do-able? thank you... > > lisa
Guest guest
Well I can honestly tell ya that I did go back to work 8 days post op and was feeling horrible, nauseas, dizzy, sick to the max, and sore. But I had textured implants that were embeded in my muscles and had to be picked and scraped to get out. It took four people to hold and pull them out of me, they were growing in to my chest wall and rib cage, it is so sick. So I don't think I would have been able to do anything like that. It depends on how sick you are, if your not sick then you may be ok. If the Dr does a good capsulectomy though your gonna be sore from scraping, etc. It depends, I also had a lift but I was not that sore from the lift just the scraping part and having been in surgery 6 hours. Why did you decide not to get a lift anyhow? Just curious about everyones situation. I know that not everyone needs one for sure. hugs > hello, > > i was hoping to get any input on how things went right after a > normal routine explant surgery (w/o lift in my case)? i'm trying to > schedule my surgery, but have a wedding that i must travel to > exactly 9 days after. do you think this is do-able? thank you... > > lisa

Guest guest
Anita, How are you feeling now. Has anything inproved with your health and your son's? Love Cricket > > hello, > > > > i was hoping to get any input on how things went right after a > > normal routine explant surgery (w/o lift in my case)? i'm trying to > > schedule my surgery, but have a wedding that i must travel to > > exactly 9 days after. do you think this is do-able? thank you... > > > > lisa > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Cricket, Well, my son and I have seen some improvement! He has said that he is not getting as dizzy and has more energy. I have had my ups and downs (I think the car accident has set me back a bit but I do notice that I have more stamina. We will be seeing Dr. Brodsky on July 10th to see how much progress we have made. If our cells have separated he will then be able to see what else is going on with us. Did you say your cells were clumped together also? I also think that we have been herxing a bit because of the liver cleanse. It is so cool to be able to see with your own eyes what is going on. I just love that man. Thanks you again for sharing about him. I also can't wait to see how Patty and Daryl do. If I stay over on Monday maybe we can get together for coffee or lunch. If you want to e-mail me privately with your phone number I will call you when I'm there. My e-mail is anitak001@.... Thanks Again, Cricket...Anitacricket5643000 <cricket5643000@...> wrote: Anita,How are you feeling now. Guest guest
Anita, I am so glad that things are getting better. It all takes time but you will get there. I have told everyone that with out this group and Jim Brodsky I would not feel as good as I do now. Yes my blood cells were clumped together and when I went back they were broken apart. And it is realy neat to see for yourself what is going on in your body and and than to see the changes is amazing. I really trust Jim and Im glad you and your son our getting help from him. I will be seeing Patty and Darly after they are done on Monday. It will be interesting to see the difference in Patty since she has really been well for a long time verses Daryl who is still not doing very well. I would love to meet you when you are here if that works out for you. Will keep in touch. Guest guest
Totally doable! For me, I drove the next day after a 6 and a half hour explant- 15 hours home! No pain, just relief, and felt a little sore Went back to work 4 days later, even with the drains in! Love julie Re: life post-explant?
