Guest guest
Dear Health Visitor I am conducting a research study looking at how four professional groups namely early years professionals, health visitors, social workers and specialist police officers work together in teams around the child ranging from CAT/TAC meetings through to Child Protection conferences and review meetings. This is really important research which seeks to understand the views of different professionals about themselves and each other. The findings from this study will be used to improve joint working and contribute to addressing the repeated concerns raised in Serious Care reviews about interprofessional communication and collaboration. I am seeking the views of qualifying and newly qualified Health Visitors who have around six - twelve months work experience and was wondering if you would be willing to complete a very short questionnaire for me. I am attaching an infromation sheet which includes the link to the questionnaire and would really appreciate it if you could spare the time to do this.If you know of any health visitors who might also be interested in taking part in the research please feel free to toward this email to them Many thanks AtkinsResearcher and Senior Lecturer School of Social Work Kingston University. 1 of 1 File(s) Information sheet for online distribution..docx
Guest guest
Hi Woody, Thank you for your interest adn suggestion to contact Jane Appleton. I will follow this up. I loved the chamber group analogy which certainly could be developed to think of whole orchestras and choirs! I plan to check my responses to the questionnaire later this week but am still very keen to recruit more professionals of my four groups. So far the police are the most elusive. best wishes From: Woody Caan <WCaan@...> " " < >; "jvappleton@..." <jvappleton@...>; "christine.atkins1@..." <christine.atkins1@...> Sent: Monday, 2 July 2012, 19:32 Subject: Research project on interprofessional working. Have your Say! Dear ,This is important work. In the late 1990s I was concerned about teamwork involving health visitors and social workers and others (especially CLDNs or CPNs) and you may find the attached 2000 paper good for a laugh! If you are having difficulty engaging a new generation of HVs, child protection is the research speciality of Dr. Jane Appleton the clinical editor of Community Practitioner (copied in above): perhaps CP would consider a news item by yourself about your research or even print your questionnaire with your postal point of contact? Jane, does that sound interesting to you?Good luck with your research,Woody.________________________________________From: [ ] On Behalf Of liz.plastow@...
