Guest guest
Hello all - sorry I haven't been around lately. It has been so crazy the last few days - I have over 800 messages to get caught up on!! PLEASE - if their was a message to me directly, please repost it w/ my name on it as it may take me a long time to read all of these posts and I don't want anyone to think I am not listening or ignoring them. 800 posts is tough w/ a flare and a 3 year old!! please don't take it personally. GOOD NEWS: On the 17 I went for my WONDERFUL Sun Valley trip - I had such a great time meeting the other girls and laughing and crying with them!! I got home on the 22nd as I was stuck in Chicago the 21st due to flight issues/weather and then received a call that only gave me 3 days to prepare for the arrival of MTV for my interview. sheeesh I am so tired. The interview went well and the MTV people couldn't have been nicer - they were wonderful but as usual, I over did it and have been feeling pretty bad the last few days and was in bed for the afternoon yesterday. It was worth it, though.... To be able to tell the "implant hell" story and possibly change thousands of lives is worth a fibro flare anyday!! darn, if it would help many others and millions of innocent babies I would go through the interview and subsequent flare every week for the rest of my days. I just feel compelled to try to help the innocents in every way I can. I will keep everyone posted as to the "air time" info on the documentary. Don't look for it soon as it will probably be at least 5-6 months BAD NEWS: On the one of the biggest local radio stations, the are doing their annual "boobjob giveaway". The whole contest is bad enough but now it has changed this year..... they have decided that this year would be neat to change the contest to "high school seniors only" - 17 or 18 years old only need apply - yep you read that right. I was soooooooooooo pissed. Weirdly enough, it came on during my interview and my passion and anger about it was recorded - who knows if that will make the cut but that is so very sad. these poor girls haven't even had a chance to live yet - sorry for the language but SHIT - THEY ARE JUST OLD ENOUGH TO SEE A RATED "R" MOVIE - SOME CAN'T EVEN VOTE OR BUY A LOTTO TICKET. HOW THE HELL CAN THEY BE PREPARED TO MAKE A DECISION THAT MAY RUIN THEIR LIVES?????? Sorry - I had to get that out again for the hundredth time. Whew - I feel better now. More info later - love and miss everyone!!! shari
Guest guest
Shari, That is just so sick abou the local radio station's giveaway....and they do this ANNUALLY????? Very sick. Targeting 17 & 18 year olds is so incredibly expliotative, it makes me really angry. What are the call letters of this station? Perhaps we can use this as a publicity opportunity for us, to get our stories out there somehow and wake these people up to what can happen when young women get implants. If they have a website, maybe we can send them a ton of info. Can't wait to see the MTV piece, but 5-6 months out sounds like so long!!! Cricket, I guess we should just go ahead and do the DVD and we can always add it later, can't we? Thanks Shari! Hugs, Pattyhalvey70@... wrote: Hello all - sorry I haven't been around lately. Guest guest
Shari I hope you are recovering. I am so glad that you had the opportunity to do the MTV piece.
