Guest guest
You must pull from within I guess - some kind of inner strength. It's not the implants that make the woman, it's the woman!!!!
Guest guest
: Thank you for writing back. You words are very encouraging. I went to Feng, did the lift and yes have had every test known to man done. All normal. no thyroid problem. I am constantly around women with implants. Not really my friends, some are, but people I know. I just do not see that they are having any problems. I do exercise often. I am thin. About 5'9/130. I think I am just having doubts about the removal. But I do not have doubts about reimplantation. No way. Thanks

Guest guest
HI, I'm new to this group and topic...but, my hair started to fall out about two years ago....most of it occured in a single afternoon. I had saline implant surgery in 1995. I still have them, but I have had many health issues in the last six years or so. I was recently diagnosed with Hepatitis C and mild Hypothyroidism. Both of which most likely contribute to all it. Even with medication for the hypo, my hair continues to fall out. I would say that at least 30% of its density is gone and the over-all condition of it is very poor. Like it isnt getting the proper nutrients or something. I know that hepatitis can interfere with the way your body metabolizes protein and hormones, so I am unsure what avenue to go now in terms of resolution. My dermatologist tells me it is definately NOT androgenic. There isnt any pattern to it, and I do not have the characteristic skin problems that also come with androgenic alopecia. I contracted the Hepatitis in 1976 after an apendectomy. I was 13 and I am 40 now....so I have had it for a long time. I am not a good candidate for treatment because of the genotype, and having my implants removed is not an option financially bacause my six year old son tested positive as well and we now have to put our resources toward his health. I wonder if vitamin B injections would help this at all? I have always been slightly anemic.. Do you need a prescription for it? or is it available on the web? thanks for any info! . Guest guest
Some women are early responders, and have trouble right away. That was me. Some women do not show problems for 8-10 years, and in rare cases, they can go for many more years. But all will have problems if they keep them long enough. Guest guest
: Hi. I'm in hair loss hell too.I feel for you. I lost mine from anemia, and anesthesia. I'd say 30_50% of my density is shot. Did you have your serum ferritin levels checked? See. www.florisene.com I have been to doctor after doctor and like your situation, they too say it's NOT that androgenic type (thank God or I'd jump off the nearest cliff). Hypothyroidism will cause hair loss. Some thyroid meds will make it worse, what are you on? About getting your implants removed--do you have insurance? If so, there are docs out there who will be willing to state this is a medical necessity, so don't give up. Those toxic bags can't be helping your hair. Write back. -MarieAprilcupcake@... wrote: HI, I'm new to this group and topic...but, my hair started to fall out about two years ago....most of it occured in a single afternoon. Guest guest
Definitely your implants!! We hear this all the time. Guest guest
Hi Marie... Thanks for responding..sorry for hair problems too. I know it seems very shallow to some people. But just two years ago I had fabulous dark curly hair down to my tail, and now its just below my ears and getting grey fast, and terribly thin and dry as heck. One morning I got in the shower...I was really sick during this time, but not sure why. Anyway, I was showering and I felt something around my ankles and the water wasnt draining... To my horror it was hair...once I got out and took a look at myself, I fainted. My son heard me fall, and came in scooped me up. I ended up having my hair cut off because we could not untangle it. So much had let go, that it was impossible to release from the rest of it. It was cut just below my ears. It has only grown to my shoulders after two years, and continues to shed more than normal. As for hypothyroidsm, my TSH was actually in the normal range when I was tested. But, the T3 was non existant, suggesting a conversion problem. I started off on Armour and am now on Synthroid. I take 75mcg a day. It really doesnt help anymore, but I dont want to increase my dose because I know that I will further dibilitate myself. I have become increasingly fatigued since the hair stuff started. I literally fall asleep if I get on my treadmill, and my muscles are too weak to workout anymore...so I'm steadily gaining weight on top of everything. So, now it looks I will just be bald, fat and sleepy forever. I don't have insurance..(thats a long story) and little other resources at this time. No credit cards etc... I don't know what portion of my problems are my implants and what portion is due to the thyroid and Hepatitis. So, I really don't know what to do now. For my hepatits treatment, I had to enter into the indigent care program here in Colorado. It has already been very costly to me. Thankfully me ex-husband had been helping with the expenses. Good thing he still loves me huh? This program provides some financial assistance based on your income, it doesnt cover all of it. We also dont know weather my sons insurance is going to be adequate to cover his care at this point, so we need to keep our resources available for him. I do know that whatever it is...it's getting steadily worse. I seem to wake up with something new everyday...and my family is starting to think its all in my head... This week its my eyes...now I'm suddenly sensitive to light and sun. I get really sick when I go out. If I even mow the grass and pull weeds, I pay for it for a couple of days. I know I'm not gonna be able to help Quincy through all of this though if I don't get well. Thanks for caring and listening! .
Guest guest
, Wow, that is the most astounding hair loss experience I have heard yet! What a terrible thing to go through. It sounds like you had a gorgeous head of hair. I know hair issues can be extremely distressing. I am so sorry! I have very thin hair, and as a teenager, always dreamed of having thick hair down to my waist. It never happened. I am really hoping that your issues will resolve with some appropriate help. First getting the implants out (as a priority), second, tweaking your thyroid hormones, and giving the T3 a trial to see if that helps you...(this may be the most workable at the moment). Especially since there was already indications of a conversion problem, I am actually quite shocked that the doctors would take you off of Armour (which includes both T3 and T4) and put you on Synthroid (which is only T4, and if you have a conversion problem, the synthroid would be useless!) I certainly am no doctor and I may be all wet, but I just wanted to throw that out there to you, as I do wish you well. God bless, Patty Aprilcupcake@... wrote: Hi Marie... Guest guest
Hi, thanks for your reply.. Yes, very distressing indeed. I have to wonder if even with the explant if I will have any resolution....it's been going on for a couple of years now. I imagine the damage is done. And I have had the implants for ten years now. As for the the thyroid stuff..I have tried to take T3 and I have terrible pain in my knees when I do. Weird I know, but it happens everytime I try. I may go back to Armour, I am due for a new presc. I think maybe I didnt give it long enough. And everyone I know, does better with it than Synthroid. I dont even know where to start, as far as getting the implants removed... C. Guest guest
Thanks for the reply... At the time I had the surgery, I was in a stable marriage and we were very well off. Paying for additional surgery wasnt an issue. Well, I guess I should have been planning for divorce all along. My ex and I are still on good terms, and I did bring this up to him. He really doesnt want to think about explant, he is being very male about it. But, I think if I present him with enough information on the subject, he will take me seriously. I'm sure he doesnt wish to be a single parent! and he will be if I get any sicker. We will see, but for now I need to find a way to stay awake more of the day...I will look into the B12. Thanks for everything, it was really helpfull. Chriss.
Guest guest
I also had a lot ofproblems, when it came to trying synthroid, levoxyl, armour (in high dosages even) and cytomel, seemd nothing worked until placed ona mix of t3 and lowered t4 (levoxyl) This took years of having problems, I discussed this with Dr Kolb, who has been interviewing Dr Lowe www.drlowe.com (he deals with fibromyalgia nd thyroid resitance-I read both of his books) and found I had thyroid resitance. Since our talk ,Dr Kolb has noticed alot more cases of implanted women with this thyroid resitance . We both think that the toxins from the implants build up in our cells, making it impossible for them to take in any type of thyroid hormone, unless in high doasges to override them. Cleansing the liver is your first step, thus cleansing the cells somewhat and read into thyroid resitance .See how you fit into Dr lowes symptoms. I didnt get better until I did, and found a doc to treat me this way. Not by blood, only by symptoms carefully. Progesterone also helped me (and PAtty) "accept" my thyroid hormones better. The hormones progesterone and thyroid work hand in hand, and I was defecient by saliva tests. Just my tips...Love julie >From: Aprilcupcake@... >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Re: Everyone has implants >Date: Fri, 16 Jul 2004 01:48:34 EDT > >Hi, thanks for your reply.. > >Yes, very distressing indeed.
