Guest guest
Hello, i am a student HV doing my major project which is a literature review. My title is `What impact has serious case reviews had on the practice of multi-agency working and have they informed or changed our practice?' I have alot of research (please see below). Question is- I would like feedback on what other MPs feels is in place in their trust ie policy or lack of staff etc that prevents HVs from working in partnership more with other professionals and visiting/engaging with those 'vulnerable' families?Do people feel that MESCH or FNP would enable staff to meet these recommendations or is it professioanl development, support of staff etc that needs attention? I have all the bulk to start but now am a little lost on how to apply all of this research and critique? Many thanks, Louise Ages of Concern: learning lessons from serious case reviews (2011) The Preoccupation with Thresholds in Cases of Child Death of Serious Injury through Abuse and Neglect (2008) Serious Case Reviews: Learning to use Expertise (2005) Managing the Aftermath of Serious Case Reviews (2003) Improving Safeguarding Practice, Study of serious case reviews 2001-2003 (2008) Analysing Child Deaths and Serious Injury through abuse and neglect: what can we learn? (2008) The Munro Report of Child Protection (2010) Safeguarding Children Across Services: Messages from research on identifying and responding to child maltreatment by Carolyn Davies and Harriet Ward (2011) And alot of supporting research.
