Guest guest
Actually, I have been diagnosed with scleroderma. I am praying to GOD after my implants are removed it will go away. I have heard that scleroderma is one of the more common autoimmune diorders for women w/ implants (from my rhumatologists'). It seems that no one on this site has it also (fortunatly). I am so scared it woun't go away b/c I haven't found anybody w/ it. Thats why I was wondering if anyone had any similiar symptoms. That way at least I could have some greater hope I'll get better. I don't know what I'm going to do if it doesn't go away.... I'm only 29. Crystal > Are your hands getting very swollen? Guest guest
Cryst your def right about it being a common one with all of us, but most of us never get the actual diagnosis, maybe cause in my case I got those suckers out fast, (18 months) how long have you had your implants? i am thinking longer than a few years but maybe not. I know one girl who was here besides kathy that had it but she has been gone awhile, she had it and seemed really sick, but after explant allot of her symptoms went away. I also know that i could have been developing it and had I kept em any longer that may have beeen my diagnosis as well though, I think they thought I showed more symptoms of lupus, those are ALL gone now. I can go in the sun and tan and don't turn red or weak anymoe. it sounds as if you have good Dr's so far that is awesome, those are few and far between so that is great news. are you on any meds? if so let me know, I can help you with allot of this stuff if you want me too. I know allot of stuff about drugs and which ones not take at all unless you want to suffer the side effects. Personally the only drugs I decided after some testing was just something to help me with pain. I researched and found that morphine was a safe pain med compared with allot of the immune supressents that could cause some bad stuff. anhow let me know more, or maybe your already answering this stuff in othe emails that I have not go up to yet. hugs girl, write me ok In , " cryslaris " <crystalcampitiello@M...> wrote: > Actually, I have been diagnosed with scleroderma. Guest guest
Have you tested positive for scleroderma antibodies? Ann > > > Are your hands getting very swollen? Guest guest
, I have had my implants for 2 years & 3 months. I started getting sick while I was pregnant (my baby is 6 months old ). However, once she was born it REALLY came out. The skin thing happened about 2 months after the birth. In the beggining they thought I might have had Lupus but when my skin started to change I was then diagnosed w/ scleroderma. I am taking Minocyclene. I also take hydrocodone to help me sleep. I am lucky that I have numerous WELL RESPECTED doc's here in NY that believe the implants could be causing this all. They feel I should first get them out & then see what happens before I start taking more medication. As far as blood tests..I have a border line positive ANA. All the other tests come back normal. I can't tell you exactly what tests have been taken but, I have had ALOT! Anyway, I am packing for my trip to Texas. We leave tommorow (My husband, my baby daughter & my mom). I just pray it all works out. I need to be healthy for my baby!!!! Thanks for the support!!! love, Crystal > > > Are your hands getting very swollen? Guest guest
Crystal, I think that if you are not yet positive for scleroderma antibodies, then you will have a good chance of getting better. Especially because your ANA is borderline. I might have missed it, but are you getting them out soon? I hope you get better quickly. Ann > > > > Are your hands getting very swollen? Guest guest
It will take time girl don't expect a miracle overnight, but you will get better, some faster than others but I have yet to meet one person who has not found some improvement. The ones that had them less than 5 years def heal faster than those with long term implants, but that doesn't mean that they cannot heal because they too heal. We are pulling for you!
