Guest guest
Well there is a great medication (or so I was told) for gout, called allopurinol, it would be easy enough for me to get. I think between my negative tests on several occasions and the fact that my pain was not just in one limb that they ruled it out. HOwever it would be worth a shot to try the allopurinol to see if it does anything. I know one of my docs was so sure that I had it, but then when the test was negative that was the end of that. Anyhow I do not do well on Calcium so far on any kind that is in supplement form. I don't drink tons of milk but I do have some in my late's and my cereal and things like that, and I eat cheese and that kind of stuff, so for now I am done trying to take calcium. I mean that stupid cyst thing in my wrist was completely gone and then boom, two weeks on calcium and it is back. CRAZY! It hurts too. I was like pain free before that when I was just taking the fluid joint supplement I told you about, so yeah I mean shoot I am willing to give this a shot for sure. I am always open to suggestions, I just know that I have done the yeast diet before and it never helped me except to make me feel crappy from not getting enough food that I like hee hee. Since with the right shoes I don't hurt that bad I just feel I would rather deal with some aching than doing that whole yeast diet thing, that to me is sheer torture. I know others do it and do well, and god bless them, but as healthy an eater as I am, it just does not work for me. I also know that for a fact if I work out heavily my pain is less than if I am laying around, so it could be that this stuff is less painfull from moving around and laying around it builds up and causes more pain. It def seems like a thing to look into. I know a few docs that will give me the allopurinol, no big deal there, so maybe ask Dr Brodsky if that is the best thing to do or if he thinks a natural supplement is best? Do you know what he told Daryl to do about it? Anyhow thanks for the info, I am glad to know that there still could be an answer other than the achilles tendonitis, although at this point I have given up being super optimistic about things, when you have had this stupid kind of pain for so long it really becomes such a part of your life you kind of figure it is always gonna be a part of you. At least I was able to work it out enough to get off pain meds. I feel so GREAT other than the heel pain and of course right now this silly cyst, but that will go away once the Calcium is out of my system. I sent you some pics and also a link to the Salmon River Lodge that we went to just so you can see it and get an idea of what it looks like there. It is really allot like Sun Vally as far as the terrain, but the reason it is not heavily populated or that well known of or sought after by celebs has to be cause there is not ski resort there. As much snow and mountains as they have I am not sure why. But it is so pretty. Idaho really has some picturesque scenery going on here. I never imagined it would be as pretty as it actually is. I always just thought California ruled from living there my whole life. What an awakening I have gotten since moving here. Anyhow the float trip was a total blast, but I confess about one night of the whole tent, camping deal is about all I would want to do. I felt we did it perfect for someone like me. Go up on a Sunday night, eat, sleep in a nice cabin and then float all day Monday camp out over night on the river, float a bit more the next day, then after lunch around 2:30 the motor boat comes and you head back to the lodge and your done! I know some people though that do it for 5 days or so and they love it. I am just not big on being without a normal bathroom or a hot shower. THey did have porta potties though, thank heaven! Anyhow, it was fun and totally different from anything I have ever done before so that made it really cool. The air is so clean and fresh out there, and the animals so cool. I never saw a bald eagle like that before just flying around and landing in trees, it was very impressive. There were so many cool animals, but NO BEARS, hee hee, everyone wanted to see a bear badly but I kind of figured it was ok not to. Anyhow I know my emails are always long and rambling so I will wrap it up girlie. let me know what Dr Brodsky thinks about Allopurinol and i will look into it too and of course share my information.
