Guest guest
I didn't see it. But MTV glamorizes BA too. THAT is why I ask people to be careful what media they talk to and if the context will not white wash the situation.I hope my point was not missed. Take Care. Guest guest
I am glad I did not watch it, that stuff now just disgusts me but it used to make me feel like it had to be my fault or that i was just a feak and all alone. My sister still got her implants last year even after I was on my death bed from that, it hurt like hell and it always will. I have accepted it though. She was sold on them by a Surgeon who is in a silicone stdy and got her nice gel implants that she brags are so soft and how she feels wonderful. His sles pitch also was that they had to be safe after all his wife had them! What an A****E! anyhow who knows if she will get ill ever or not. She is so happy with them and thinks it is great. what can I do, moved on with my life and I am a better stronger more mature and loving woman now so that is how I feel. hang in there ok? love In , " cryslaris " <crystalcampitiello@M...> wrote: > It was on the E channel tonight. Guest guest
Hi, I did not get a chance to watch this, but I wish I had. I had a female surgeon and was not subjected to "manhandling" I do believe that women are being mislead in terms of the safety of this procedure...and all of the reality makeover shows certainly do not help, it makes it look as though all women could benefit from larger perkier breasts! I have to wonder though...what about all of the thousands of women who get implants and do NOT have problems...all of the fitness experts and bodybuilders, and actresses etc... what makes them different than those of us who get sick? and why dont we hear about their issues if they have them? Why doesnt Pamela or or Demi have the health problems that we do? There is obviously something very different about the rest of us. Perhaps this has already been established and I just missed it... It sure would be nice if there was some kind of screening procedure, that could tell you that you are not a good candidate for implant surgery. It sure would have made me think longer about it. Guest guest
: Hi and welcome. Yes, not everyone will get sick on implants just as everyone won't die of lung cancer who smokes, but we still are aware that smoking is bad for the health. So we can ask the same about cigarettes too--why do some get cancers but others don't?Maybe it's something in one's genetic makeup that sets these things in motion. The question of why is speculation. I would guess(I'm no doctor or scientist) that people with a predisposition to immune weakness are those who get hit hard. As for famous people getting sick on implants, I can name two--Sally Kirkland and . There may be more that we don't know of. Take Care, LMAprilcupcake@... wrote: Hi, I did not get a chance to watch this, but I wish I had. Guest guest
Thanks for taking the time to fill me in! does act pretty strange...Demi definately has gone with smaller implants. I have to admit, and I am not proud of it...that if my symptoms were not so outwardly obvious, I might consider keeping my implants. However, one of my biggest problems is hair loss and people look at me and "know" something is wrong. Not to mention the fatigue that keeps me from being as active as I was just a year ago, and now I seem to be gaining weight very quickly... My ex husband and I have a very unique situation, in that we own a business together and he has made it possible for me to take the summer off in order to rest. It gives me time to spend with the children too, so it's really nice to be home, but I am usually so sleepy that I'm not much fun... At this point, with all of the other medical problems I have I have to wonder if explant would even help... I have a liver biopsy coming up on the 27th. I suppose I could talk to my Dr. about this and see if she thinks removal would help. I'm sure that they put a strain on my already taxed immune system. christina
Guest guest
We have all debated over the issue many many times on this site, esp when you first get sick you wonder why me? First of all the girls you mentioned I will say that look at Nichole? Don't you wonder why she acts so weird? I can only asume she is not well and is on major drugs for her pain or whatever else is wrong with her. Her breasts are her money, she is trapped with them, but that does not mean she does not have health issues. There are many many stars that do have problems but hell they are not going to come forward with them. Many are in denial many believe the Drs who tell them it is not the implants, others just medicate themselves with so many pain pills they don't know or feel what is really going on. There are allot of unknowns here. when i was sick I used to get tons of compliments on how healthy and beautiful I looked and I used to think wow no one has any idea how really ill I am. It is amazine really. I think we also need to realize that some of these actresses we don't see for periods of time, some like Demi dissappeared for years, was she detoxing, I know she had those big implants removed but yet now it does appear they are new smaller ones. Who knows maybe she decided to take a chance again after getting better. I only know that of course maybe not everyone reacts right away, but we have girls on here that got sick 10-12 years after implantation, so the time may come when many of these young starlets do get ill. Not everyone dies of smoking but many do, do you want to take the chance that you will get an incurable disease for big fake breasts is that worth it to you? I cannot speak for all these stars, but I followed some over the years and look at the trouble ones like Whittney Houston, , Pam has health issues with hep C and who knows what else. These women can be on some pretty strong meds, like oxycontin and other morphine that help with pain big time. I know because at one point I was going to just keeep the implants and live off of vicodin, but then I decided that was just not what I wanted out of life and my husband def did not want that out of life with me either. He did not want a sick wife that could not go out or have fun all the time because I was either too sick or too drugged up. Melonie Griffith have you seen her lately? She looks horrible. There are some that have come out about their issues like Meriel Hemmingway, and the girl from baywatch that I cannot recall her name, actress Kari Wurher was another one that had them removed. As for the girls in the gym we see, sure they may not be sick yet, or maybe they do have issues and still work out, I went to the gym often when I was sick and I am sure no one thought I had a problem either. Maybe there time will come or maybe they won't have problems. I do believe there are a variety of reasons why some react so fast, others slowly, whatever it is, does it really matter at this point no one is studying it, so we have to just come to terms with our own situation. Face what is wrong and try to fix it. This stuff is going to come out one day, and the ama will continue to deny and try to bury it but I believe one day the truth about implants all of them, will come out. I hope this answered some of your questions. hugs , Aprilcupcake@a... wrote: > Hi, I did not get a chance to watch this, but I wish I had. > I had a female surgeon and was not subjected to " manhandling " > I do believe that women are being mislead in terms of the safety > of this procedure...and all of the reality makeover shows certainly > do not help, it makes it look as though all women could benefit from > larger perkier breasts! > I have to wonder though...what about all of the thousands of women > who get implants and do NOT have problems...all of the fitness > experts and bodybuilders, and actresses etc... > what makes them different than those of us who get sick? and why > dont we hear about their issues if they have them? > > > Why doesnt Pamela or or Demi > have the health problems that we do? > There is obviously something very different about the rest of us. > Perhaps this has already been established and I just missed it... > > It sure would be nice if there was some kind of screening procedure, > that could tell you that you are not a good candidate for implant surgery. > It sure would have made me think longer about it. > >
Guest guest
Yes LM that is a great point but also remember that for me telling people was hard, imagine if your boobs are your living your bread and butter so to speak, your not gonna admit having problems. Who knows too, maybe some of them have been explanted and wear falsies, some of those fake boobies on the outside look pretty damned real. I heard a Soap opera actress say that was all she ever worse was falsies and that no one new cept people she worked with, everyone thought she had gotten implants. So who knows right? Guest guest
Talk to Dr Feng on the phone or Kolb or one of the experts but most Dr;s will tell you that this surgery will be too hard on you and that is bullshit. With your liver problems I think your even more at risk to get sicker if you don't explant. I am serious this is a burden on your body girl. Please please don't wait too long, this is a serious disease and remember if those things are like Sharis (see her pics in the photos section) you will know that if your implants are infected like that your liver will probably be under so much stress with dealing with that infection it could throw you into a crisis. I would seriously start looking into explant. You may be surprised at how good you look without implants too. And weight gain is very common with both hep c and implant illness. I work in the medical field I know allot even though I am not yet a nurse I can tell you that your little liver can really rejuvenate allot but with trying to fight those toxic implants it is really stressing your poor liver. Girl I don't want to scare you but in your situation your really dealing with a serious problem. You need those things out girl, please please try to find out something that will work for you. Surgery will not hurt your liver and it will release your body from this constand battle everyday with your hep C and implants it may just be too much on your little body. I am worried as hell about you. I hope you will listen to me. Try to call dr Fengs office and see what they will say. You don't have to go to her if you cannot afford it but you should see what they think as far as the hep c and the illness with implants. I am worried for you please know you can call me anytime while I am away if you need advice help or anything. 208-589-6323 hugs and prayers In , Aprilcupcake@a... wrote: > Thanks for taking the time to fill me in! > > does act pretty strange...Demi definately > has gone with smaller implants. > > I have to admit, and I am not proud of it...that if my > symptoms were not so outwardly obvious, I might > consider keeping my implants. > However, one of my biggest problems is hair loss and > people look at me and " know " something is wrong. > Not to mention the fatigue that keeps me from being > as active as I was just a year ago, and now I seem > to be gaining weight very quickly... > My ex husband and I have a very unique situation, in that > we own a business together and he has made it possible > for me to take the summer off in order to rest. > It gives me time to spend with the children too, so it's > really nice to be home, but I am usually so sleepy that > I'm not much fun... > At this point, with all of the other medical problems I have > I have to wonder if explant would even help... > I have a liver biopsy coming up on the 27th. Guest guest
, First, most doctors do not believe that implants are what made us sick. So you may not get support from him. You are going to have to trusth your instints and us. From what you have said you look to be in the downward sprial. I started out with hair loss, than heel pain, than my vision started acting up, them came the fatigue, and the weight gain 30 pounds in less than 16 months. (that is your thyroid shutting down from the implants) Now I am on thyroid. Than my kidney started acting up and they had to put stuff in my veins to test out my kidneys, than the joint pain hit over night I was in so much pain I thought I was going to die. And than my skin felt like it was on fire. Thats when I said to myself " something is not right here " all this stuff happening within a 16 month period, and than I found this group and within two weeks had my implants removed. Everything has gone away or improved so much since explant. I still get flares , like the burning skin acouple of days ago, but it doesn't last. Its gone as of Sunday. And my thyroid will probley not go back to normal but I can live with that. I did have my new husband walk out on me. I was not the women he married , I wasn't fun anymore etc. etc. We have had many women that have had there husbands leave because they became sick. I guess what I trying to tell you is not only do you need to get those things out of your chest for your health but also for your marriage. You will not get better until you are explanted. Try to find a way to get them out, before you get lupus or RA or something else. Once in the downword spiral it will only get worse faster. None of us wanted it to be our implants that made us sick, but it was. We here and on other sites like this one are the prof. We have all gotten better. Not right away but with time and detoxing. You are here because in your heart you know that it is the implants, or you never would have responed to my message on the other board. Don't you want to wake up every morning knowing that you are going to get better and not worse? Well you can once the implants are taken out. We are all here to help you get though this. Love Cricket > Thanks for taking the time to fill me in! > > does act pretty strange...Demi definately > has gone with smaller implants.
