hey there , I am sorry about all your pain and hair issues(I can relate!). Hang in there. Go to the specialist. That sounds like a good idea. I do believe there are some underlying conditions to your problems that have to be properly diagnosed. I pray that there is a Dr. out there who can be of help to you!!! Hugs and health XXOOXOX TERRY

I forgot that you were explanted so soon after you got your implants! You were so smart to do that, it stinks that you got sick anyway. I saw this girl on TV tonight that used to be on Baywatch and she had these big implants. My 1st thought was pure jealousy and then I thought Well, maybe she might be sick one day too. Sometimes, I just feel un-lucky! My marriage is still just hanging on by a thread, due mostly to this stupid illness.

I'm so glad that you are back on the group!

Love, Daryl

Patty!

Hi. While it's true that depression can be experienced after surgery, these other symptoms are not usual. Your PS may not be aware of autoimmune illness or he could be a liar. You need to go to your family doctor and a rhuematologist who deal with implant issues. If you live in NYC, Dr. is a very good rhuematologist. Your PS will probably be of little use here if he's already telling you that what you're feeling is the norm.

What type of implants did you get? Why did you get them? I got implants because of ptosis (sagging from weight loss). Had I known about vertical mastopexy, I would have never went down the implant road.

I was explanted after 3 weeks. I hated the way my implants looked and they were SOOOOO uncomfortable. The bad thing is, I was explanted in a horrendous fashion that has left me maimed and in need of further Reconstruction.

Hi Daryl!

It's good to hear from you! I hope things are improving for you. I think it's cool you're doing the Gymboree thing. How is Quinn?

Yes, I'm sick now with something--don't know if it's related to BA but Brodsky says it's possible to get contaminated from only have BA for a couple weeks--he has seen it before. He's a nice guy. I thought about going to see him but found a female MD in Bethesda who does live blood analysis plus being an internal medicine doctor, she can order other tests and treat conditions. This will save me on flight/hotel fare.I'm seeing her and a rheumy at GWU in Sept.

Can you please describe the pain you have? Mine is like this:I feel "bruised" deep within and have shooting/twitching and pulsating sensations in my hands, wrists, low back-hips, lower legs, ankles, feet, elbows and lower arm(wrist to elbow). Shoulders only rarely. My abdomen hurts--like period cramping and I get diarrhea and/or constipation though my diet remains the same.I have fatigue, but fight it and go hiking. The pain was too bad for me to hike on Thurs. but Friday and today I'm OK.The pain never goes away, but most of the time I'm able to be active, but always feel bruised in areas. RA can back negative but then again it was done by the same labs who f******* up my hormones tests!

I'm afraid of what's going wrong with me and like you, I feel like I'm dying. I also fear going to a traditional doctor who will tell me I'm nuts but I'd fear going to an alternative doctor who will swoop down like a vulture and take advantage of my dilemma. Been there done that. Hopefully, this rheumy I go to thinks outside the box but who's not into quackery at the same time. It's hard finding that balance.

BTW, you stated that you feel unlucky breast wise. Don't, I bet yours look great. Anyway, you're very pretty with an awesome head of hair so you're already Baywatch material!

Terry told me about Dr. in NYC, I might just go see him. I'll call on Monday.

Again, it's good hearing from you.

If you need anything Daryl, just call me.

Hugs,
