Nico:

I'm so very sorry for your experience with that worthless derm appointment. What did this doctor conclude IS the cause of your hair loss? I think since things went haywire at the time of these implants, it's safe to assiciate a cause/effect relationship. BTW, on www.keratin.com (click on effluviums on the right-- under navigation area) there are medical journal atricles that link silicone and telogen effluvium. Copy and fax this to that doctor--teach him a thing or two.

I know how you feel I lost more than half my hair when I got my BA implant/explant and corrective surgery. Thing is, mine stopped sheding, but has yet to replace much that is lost. I've had 8 effluviums in 5 years.I'm VERY scared.

Nico, if you need someone to talk to, e-mail me again and we can talk.

I went to a dermatologist today, and he thought I was crazy for thinking there was a connection between my acne/hairloss and my breast implants. I cant tell you how frustrating it is when doctors dont believe there patients. My body went haywire after my implants. Before I had clear skin, full head of hair, no joint pain, no fatigue, etc., now I have all of the above and more including swollen lymph nodes. The doctor told me its just a coincidence. To top it off the derm wanted to inject my deep indented scars with a silicone liquid substance. I told him that wasnt going to happen. Needless to say I am not going back to him.

MOst mainstreatm Dr's are not educated on this stuff so their natural

response is pretty typical to what you have described here. It is

hard to find anyone that believes the connection. Often times to find

out things about my blood I simply would not even mention implants,

just to get things checked out. When the labs would come back normal

or not normal I would figure things out myself from there. It is sad

but true that in many cases we are better to just use mainstream

medicine for our prescriptions and tests we need.
