Guest guest
I also wanted to add that not all people with sensitivities to gluton will be able to tolerate gluten down the road, some can, some dont. Esp depends on how many antibodies you have, the higher, the more likely you are to abve the disease, and are past the point of sensitivity. Although, low amounts are usually a sign of a smilpe intolerance. LM, I did receive your email, I am so sorry- I have to get back to you. We were on vacation in Michigan, it was beautiful, and so sunshiney! Great beaches, very peaceful. And just got back, and I am catching up on emails and work at the office. It is crazy. Then we had all this new landscaping put in, and I am catching up on watering it all, for hours every day. ARG! I will get back to you on your email to me personally. Please re email if you can as a simple reminder. Symptoms of celiac can be widespread depending on how severaly you are reacting. Most common are hair loss, peripheal neuropathy, bloating ,constipation, or diareaha or both, runny large, loose bowels that float and often smell really bad, stomach aches, headaches, joint pain. But left untreated it can trigger auto immnue illnesses like RA, and thyroid diseass, and what is wonderful ,once the gluton is eliminated, most of the triggered symtpoms and diseases GO AWAY... REALY! The university of Chicago has a great program on it, and states patients getting better once taken off it. Like Rhuematoid arthrits going away is common. Thats why Mercola has all patients go off it, as he believes most of us are senstive or severly intolerant of it. The only way to get well, is to eliminate triggers that set off our immunity. Gluton is a big one. How can it start? Well surgeries, stress, or accidents can bring it on. It is a symptoms of a hyper immunity response. It can also be heritary, waxing and waning here and there throughout your life, going away at calm times, and coming back. Some dont realy notice it, some lose so much weight and become malnourished and have stunted growth, losing hair and becoming pale, it is severe. Gluton intolerance will cause your fibers in your stomach to be broken away, causing your body to unable to intake proper minerals and nutritents and give you a greater chance of stomach cancers. Causing leaky gut syndromes, and all sorts of immune responses. You will most likey show problems with absorbotion of precious minerals and vitamins .Like I was with iron and calcium. Big time. Does that help? Make sense? Im sorry I miss spell alot as I type so fast, and get a little lazy! Mercola finds this in almost all ill patients. it is very common, actually we are very ignorant to knowlegde in the states when it comes to this. It is believed that one in 5 people in the us have this. Actually Europe countries like Italy screen all newborns for it, as about 50 % of population has this. We will soon come to that as well. >After I had them removed, and got rid of gluten for a while, it went away, and I am able to eat it again in small amounts. It is a sensitivity that often can go away, instead of a disease as most think. Once the "trigger" is found and rid of, you can get better, and build a tolerance for it. > Re: celiac disease > > >I've known of a few women who developed celiac disease after ruptured saline implants. Guest guest
Thanks for the info , that is good to know. What else is gluten in besides wheat and bread and pasta? I know lately all I eat is fruit and veggies and some meat but of course there are those times I fall off the wagon for sure. Like the browies on the 4th of july. Is it in sugar? thanks honey In , " JOSEPH PALANCA " <juliejp61@m...> wrote: >
Guest guest
: Are you on Atkins? I don't buy into that Atkins diet(though cutting down on sugars and carb *overload* is good). We need certain amount carbs to utilize our food. Wait for the backlash on this trendy diet.......A balance diet will prevail, just wait and see.I heard on Fox news that low carb diet can effect fertility in women. Wonder what the low low carb diet does to our endocrine system.......... Hugs, LMnaturalbeauty38 <naturalbeauty38@...> wrote: Thanks for the info , that is good to know. Guest guest
, is isnt in sugar, but like a wheat based binder in salad dressings, syrups, soy products, even in dairy! It is so hard to eliminate in the beginnig. But you can have like corn chips, or corn based pasta, if you needed to. Since I have cut out all refined (whote) and even wheat products, (as most are refined and contain gluton) and only eat like ezekial bread, (like organic nutty seeded breads) my blood had dramatically reversed in almost all aspects. Cholesterol went down, immunity counts up, perfect nutrients ratios. Ect. Realy white carbs, and grains are hard on the endrocrine system, esp thyroid. As it raises insulin, which then raises up other stress hormones like chloesterol, and cortisol. But eating too much meat is also bad. I eat mainly 60% raw friuts and veggies, and a palm size portion of protein at each meal (an egg, chicken, good fish, nuts, or organic cheese) .Vegatables are realy a good sourse of carbohydrates for energy. Dr Mercola whole wellness center is based on wellness through the proper amounts of vegatables, protenis and very little grains. And has worked for thousands to reverse disease, even cancers. He does blood checks monthly in the 1st year- through quest labs to prove improvement based soley on diet alone. AS you need this ,to keep on this type of diet in the first few months, it is so hard, you need a proof, you could say. , I know you were into the Zone for while, so to understand mercola is easy ,as it is simular. Mercola is very close to that . Just no gluten! If you arent having any problems though, like hair loss, or joint pain, or bloating, or bowel issues , you proabaly dont need to look into gluten issues. You are probably the one that can tolerate it. You arent sick ,and continue to have problems, so you are most likely in the clear girl! Sure, you fall off the wagon sometimes, girl I do! Last night, I had french fries( MMMM) and felt terrible all night, but hey, I am human, and as long as I stick to the 10% rule, Im ok! That is, 10% of my food today can be "no no's".Mercaol gave me that tip. So if i have M & M's, its ok. I had like 8 servings of veggies, and 2 of fruit already, with organic grass fed beef for lunch, and and basically am doing great. I wouldnt be able to stick with it, if I was 100% strict. Please, you gotta live, even if only in small amounts! And if you can tolerate more, and are fine, just try to improve the other meals for the day! Like an organic salad for lunch, and blueberry whey protein shake for breakfast, if you are going to sneak some pizza for dinner. You know? Guest guest
LM, Dr mercola ran some tests and showed I had positive antibodies for me to gliadon, but I never had a biopsy done. It wasn’t needed in my opinion, or Dr Mercola's. My symptoms went right with the whole thing. He sees it all the time. I am interested when I go to UC hospital for my thyroid nodule biopsy of seeing specialist there about it. They have an awesome program for celiac's. I think my son has it. I am not constipated at all , on all the veggies, fruit and good proteins. As long as I drink a lot of water. Before on wheat, I would be either constipated, bloated or have loose bowels (that smelled terrible!) Mimicking IBS. Guest guest
LM, No dear I don't do any fad diets. I did try following the " zone " in principle, but not by the book or anything. And the South Beach diet is also another with a good basic healthy approach to eating. The way I lost those extra 60 pounds 7 years ago was a simple, basic way of eating and balance of healthy foods, veggies, fruits, lean meats and chicken, pork, lamb, seafood and then whole grains, some pasta and cereals. I used skim milk.TONS OF WATER as much as I could possibly get in.I ate super healthy. Gave myself one cheat night a week where I would not binge like a pic, but have some pizza if that was what I was craving, occasionally eat a chocolate bar or something like that, just by really watching calories and knowing that if I ate something fattening I would have to cut something at some point throughout that day to make it up. however, all this stuff is great and will work, but the biggest thing I did to lose weight was of course what we all know works, EXERCISE! there is no way aroung it. Since moving to Idaho Falls a little over 3 years ago I have seen the biggest changes in my body, and the reason is stregnth training, any kind of resistance traing can do that for you. Weights, or bands, or a bowflex type machine, that stuff does so much to change your actual body shape. Aerobics are awesome, and burn tons of fat and calories but for reshaping, toning, firming, and definition there is NOTHING LIKE RESISTANCE TRAINING. WOw did I got off on a tangent here hee hee. just making the point that diet alone won't get what most people want. Adkins is a crappy diet, I don't care what anyone says. you will def lose wieght and if you have allot of wieght to lost it will really start to come off fast, what people do not realize is much of that weight is water weight, and that once you try to start adding in the carbs if your not careful and not working out all the time you will gain it all back, my friend did the adkins and lost 10 pounds and was so happy! I feel bad cause she put it right back on as soon as she started just eating fruit again, and she works out hard and works super hard on our floor, the girl works it, but still the adkins diet messed her up. I do believe it works really well for some people and that is great, but I don't think it is safe. TOO MANY FATS, some fat is good, but ADKINS to me is not a safe or sane type of diet. 0C In , Jane Doe <oceanlilly_csu@y...> wrote: > : > Are you on Atkins? > I don't buy into that Atkins diet(though cutting down on sugars and carb *overload* is good). Guest guest
Hi : I'm glad you're not on Atkins. I heard on Fox News--The O'Reilly Factor by a NYU nutritionist that this diet can cause infertility. I know low carbs can cause low DHEAS too. I don't feel like messing up my endocrine system any more! What's the ZONE? Hugs, LMnaturalbeauty38 <naturalbeauty38@...> wrote: LM,No dear I don't do any fad diets.
