This is a very important conference. Perhaps some employers would buy the webcasts so that they could be used for training purposes.Kind regardsCheryllFrom: NORPIP Conference Team <norpipconf@...>Date: Fri, 11 May 2012 06:12:57 +0100 NORPIP Conference Team <norpipconf@...>Subject: We are web casting......."Social Consequences of Poor Infant Attachment.....Two is Too Late"Dear Colleague,You may know, our conference "Social Consequences of Poor Infant Attachment.....Two is Too Late" was sold out a month before the date. We are confident that this is a) because of the quality of the speakers and B) because the topic of early intervention and the quality of infant mental health is so currently important. We now have an enormous waiting list and have decided to web-cast the conference........also to put an edited version on to a website, which will allow multiple viewings, fast forwarding and pausing etc. The editing will simply remove the lunch and coffee breaks etc. The cost will be £300.If you have an interest in receiving the web-cast in order to share it with colleagues or students who have not been able to attend on 18th May, please reply to me immediately to register your interest. Reasons why its a good idea.......This conference will be a masterclass in all aspects of Infant Attachment and will be of interest to social workers, those working with children and families, psychotherapist, neuroscientists, the medical profession, health visitors, midwives and local authorities. You will hear from.......Iain Duncan MP, who started The Centre for Social Justice. Baroness Greenfield on the neuroscience of the infant brain. Dr. Galbraith of Alder hay Children's Hospital on Infant Psychotherapy and the economics of healthcare in this area. Dr on Attachment Therapy. Camila Batmanghelijdh from Kids Company on the outcome for neglected and abused children. Finally........ Leadsom MP will talk about plans to roll out Parent Infant Partnerships across the country and how you can be involved. The British Government is currently spending £25 billion a year on tackling the consequences of social breakdown, and local authorities are buckling under the pressure of children in care. For this reason, early years intervention has the backing of the Secretary for State for Work and Pensions, Rt. Hon. Iain Duncan , who has said “We need to intervene early and think in terms of prevention at the earliest point possible”.He proposes a switch in spending towards early infant intervention, rather than spending on the expensive consequences of social breakdown. Pitched to be of interest to specialist providers as well as primary care and third sector organisations, the day will help you to understand early attachment from multiple perspectives…Please take a look at the programme for the day to see how this can work for you. The conference is CPD certified should you need certification.www.norpipconference.org.ukKind Regards Judy CromptonNorPIP Conference TrusteeBook Now!
