That's a tough question. First I need to ask you the following:

What makes you think this pain is silicone left over from explant, or could it be neurological or a different cause entirely-- have you been to a breast oncologist or at least a GP about this?

Is there any hospital who can do this test who will except your insurance(I'm sure there is)? If so, I'd go there, if not, I'd pay Feng and hope you get reinbursement from your insurance (does your insurance reinburse)? Given your economic situation-- being a student and all, I'd rule out all other possibitilties using your insurance before going to Feng.

I feel that Feng would certainly be capable of diagnosing your situation but can she follow through with helping you if indeed it is a silicone issue--can she refer you to a PS who takes you insurance?If not, you're SOL. I'd try to find a doctor to help you through the whole 9 yards and who takes your insurance.Find out what test Feng's radiologist does and go to a major medical facility(such as the Cleveland Clinic) and have the test done there.I think you're probably going to have to travel, given that you're in a smaller town and your treatment/experience with local doctors have been substandard (especially with Dr. Carpet).

What is the nearest city to you? What tests have you had thus far for this pain?

Excellent advice. I like the Dr. Carpet Pronoun, lol. I haven't had

any tests done. I do know the name of the radiologist that would be

performing the test. I will call there and ask just what will be

done. And I will call around. Didn't realize clevland clinic might

be a possibility. I see my PCP/GP July 2nd I'll talk to her

further. I've been making internet print outs of the subject. I'll

take it from there. Thank you. If oculd even be silicone in the

lungs. I'm sick of these drs. never knowing anything. You know.

Dr. Carpet--lol. What a jerk--I'm glad to hear you dumped him.

What's the latest on the sinus thing? Did you get some antibiotics? I was in dyer pain until I took the antibiotics that killed the infection.

You know I have pain in my left brest too--I'm wondering if that's a result of nerve damage or nerves regenerating from my surgery?

I must stay on the antibiotic until July the 14th when I see a

specailist in the city. He will probably schedule me to have my

sinuses drained. Without antibiotics my head were burst with pain

from migraines and inflammation extreme. thanks for the concern,
