Hi!

Welcome. While I did not miss my implants--I hated them, I think it's NORMAL for someone who did like them to miss them because they became a part of you and now they're gone.

May I ask why you feel self-conscious without them? Are you sagging or just small breasted? If you're saggy (ptosis), might I suggest a breast lift (mastopexy), be it donut concentric style, internal or vertical lift? Ptosis is a problem and can cause one to be self conscious--I know it made me feel that way and it's normal as it can be very unattractive--but with the right plastic surgeon, this can be fixed. If you're breasts are just small--and perky, perhaps try to consider yourself lucky and feel good about that. I WISH I were born with perky little A breasts, they are attractive providing you have good skin. I envy my friend who's a perky A. No sagging and no need for surgery.

In my personal opinion, I rarely have seen implants that look good, but you're the better judge of your own body. If you require a mastopexy to feel better about your breasts, consider surgery. The good news part of it is they're out of your body, so you're safer, but I sympathize with your feelings about confidence--after all you're a woman who wants to look good, nothing wrong with that!

OF COURSE IT IS TOTALLY NORMAL IT TAKES TIME.Go out and get some of

those little chicken cutlet thingers like Patty and I and some others

wear. You can get them on line. They are so awesome. Go by a really

good bra, actually get a few. I have several that make me a nice full

B cup and that is all I really need on my small frame. You need to

stop focusing on the implants and focus on healing and being natural

and you can help yourself with wearing enhancers so that you can

focus on more important things than plastic bags sewn in your chest.

Of course most of us, esp those of us now with little body fat and

smaller boobs, we really had those feelings, I had such boob envy for

the first 2 years and it still creeps in everyonce in awhile. On our

river raft trip last week for example, there was a little 21 year old

girl, the wife of my hubby's boss's son, who was tiny as can be,

totally darling, and boom nice boobies. At first I thought they had

to be fake, but she is so young and a mormon and just did not seem

the type to get implants, after looking at her with jealousy for a

day or two I finally just decided they were probably real and since

she was so young and no children etc time and age and kids had not

yet sucked away her perky boobs. I never had that big of boobs at

that age, but they were sure perky and cute. I wish I could go back

to how I used to be mentally, I never ever looked or cared or noticed

boobs until this whole implant thing, now I am this boob freak. I

always notice boobs. My husband told me even men don't look or think

about boobs as much as I do and I think he is right. he did not even

notice this girls breasts like i did and told me that I was obsessing

on it and that I need to just realize that i am beautiful, have a

nice buff fit body and that I should just be thankful to look as good

as i do. No big fat jiggles on my arms or thighs etc. I mean yes I

have stretch marks and small boobs, but I am 40 years old next month

and look damn good for 40. I am happy most of the time but the old

boob envy comes out now and then and I totally hate it.

Anyhow I just use the enhancers in a pocket bra most of the time and

it works really well. s secret is the only place that makes A

cups that fit me right, so when I want to look more natural and

forego the enhancers I have a cute little twist bra that you twist

the center till it makes cleavage. It is awesome. I also have a

strapless bra ( all the Sun Valley girls thought it was way cool) and

it works great on me it is really stiff so even though I don't

completely fill it out it works great on my body. I can wear

strapless tops and spaghetti straps etc and they look awesome. One

day in Sun Valley I even wore a strapless hot pink top with no bra

and went natural and ya know what, it looked good. I posted the pic

of me in it in the photo section, I look allot better in that top

than I ever would have imagined. It looks cute. My boobs look like

they match my body type and frame. I think that you need to just

focus on your health and be beautiful from the inside and it will

show through. Forget about implants, they are not worth what they do

to you in the long run.

I think your lucky and smart that you had them out so fast. If you

want to change your looks the best way I can honestly think of is to

work out. It can change so many things and make you look so good

without surgery and it is a healthy thing. Try lifting weights or

getting some resistance bands for stregnth training. This will

improve your bod more than implants.

Really what do we need to have huge boobs for? Ourselves? Do we

really care that much or is it for men? Is it to feel accepted and

adored and wanted by men? In reality that is the reason women want

implants. In fact if we are honest with ourselves we will see that if

it was up to us, if there were no men to impress, we would all just

have our old saggy boobs and be healthy and not give a hoot. It is

all the media and the other women with implants that are stick thin

that give us this major insecurity.

it is so not worth it to do that to ourselves.

I know that if you give yourself time you will come to appreciate

your natural breasts. If your the same one I am thinking of and are

still unhappy with your breasts due to sagginess there are options.

Wait and give yourself some time and if that is what you want, see

about a nice lift, to perk things up.

please try to realize your a beauitful person and you do not need

plastic bags of toxins to be a real woman.

hugs

So true , so true! If it was up to me, and there were no men to impress, I wouldn't give a crap what anyone else thought, I would never have had implants and I would have just lived with my saggy old, after breastfeeding boobs and been happy with my health! It was totally a social and cultural focus on nice breasts that made me want to have boobs.

I had to get over that. It's been hard, but truly, boobs are not worth all the fuss.

I had to look at who sent this. I know my husband doesn't ever read these

boards, but this sounded so much like what he is going through right now.

His right hand swelled up and he was in agony, then the hand got a bit

better and the elbow started. Now his back. These kinds of flares are new

for him. Each new thing sends him to the ER, and they tell him it's another

symptom of the RA (Actually he has Psoriatic Arthritis-severely, and has

been on methotrexate and Remecade for a few years now.) And, boy does he get

crabby when he flares, crabbier than usual even. The ER gave him

prednisone(20 mg) and Naproxyn. I told him he should call the rheumatologist

whenever he gets new pain like this, but he just says that getting an

appointment with the rheumatologist is practically impossible for an

" emergency " . You just have to keep your regularly scheduled visits,

otherwise it takes weeks to get an appointment. I would have to carry on

until I got in quickly, but I do understand that when you are in pain, you

just don't want anymore hassles and oftentimes just can't handle arguing

with the receptionist. I also have RA, and I know what it is like to just

want to go to bed and not get up.

[ ] Is this normal

snip....my hands started

hurting a bit a couple of days ago/today I can barely move/my back

hurts me so bad I may have to go home/my elbows are on fire...
