Guest guest
Its based on the book" the Master Cleanser" by S. Burroughs, it is a mix of pure organic maple juice, cayenne peper, fresh squeezed lemons, and water. According to his book, lemons and limes are the richest food in minerals and vitamins out of any food, and can be easily bought year round. It is a old time fast, and well known cleanser. Dr Kolb does them, as well as many of Mercola staff, and himself- and all recommends them. It started as a remedy to alleviate ulcers within days, and turned out to be far more beneficial than thought, thus used for all other sicknesses, and ailments, as well as a good cleanse. Maple syrup is full of antioxidants, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron, copper, phosporous, sulfur, and B1, b2 , b6, C and pathtothetic acid-b5, and natural silicon -which we discussed we very may well need (based on holistic simularity theories) The pepper breaks up mucus, and increases warmth, by building the blood, it also is rich in almost all b's, and c's. Mint tea is also nice to add at night, as it contains high amounts of chlorophyll, and cleanses more, releases more toxins, and also sooths the stomach. You can also add a am and pm, internal salt bath, it is a uniozided salt and luke warm water to naturally flush the bowels, and digestive track -Watch out--within an hour elimination will occur. On an empty stomach-always, and great if you dont like enema's, (Im sure you could do both) as he claims it is just as good, without the controversary, and reaching farther than the liver and the colon. I did it like 3 times already, and felt incredible energy and health, after a day of herxing and I also sweated a lot from the pepper! Hope that helps, it is really an well known fast. A good one too! Love Re: lemonade fast question/ TO BETH Hello there Beth, I am not sure what the lemonade fast is, but I am doing a 3 day juice fast on Monday. I would like to find out more too. BUT I have yeast issures, so drinking that sounds like it may not be good for me? hugs.TERRY-- In , "bethlakey" <bethlakey@y...> wrote:> What is the lemonade fast everyone is doing? Guest guest
Please, really be careful of all that sodium from the sea salt! I did it also and it seemed to clean me out, but knowing what I know about the sodium/potassium imbalance in the American diet, the Gerson therapy, and the fact that there are other ways to internally cleanse (magnesium, colonics, fiber foods, herbs), I would really be cautious about doing an internal salt bath! Guest guest
Yes, the salt did cause cramping, but only a little. then-whoom! Out it came. He explains (author of the MASTER cleanser) that the salt doesn’t retain in the body, as it is immediatly flushed.I believe it,as I get bloated easily, and would have def noticed. I did have fun, but not now. I have been moving my mom, cleaning her old house, unpacking her new home, every night for the last week. And I had Tylers 4th birthday last Sat (with spiderman coming too- he was so enthralled!) on Sat with over 40 people (that’s small, only immediate family, we have a huge family) and since then, moving and helping since till about midnight. Every frickin night....Im glad I got them out, there is no way I would have all this energy and stamina that’s for sure! Anyway, that’s why I havent posted this week. Re: lemonade fast question/ TO BETH Thanks for the info on the master cleanse. I am wanting to try it. I have been having a problem lately with developing severe headaches as herxes to about everything. I am afraid to try the cleanse for fear of the headache. But I might try it just for one day to see how it goes. Did the salt cleanse cause cramping? Is it safe to take in that much salt? Please let me know. thanks! By the way, glad to hear that you had a great time in Michigan!Hugs, kathy> > What is the lemonade fast everyone is doing? Guest guest
I was also very concerned with this, as I have the same issue. But was told by three holistic docs that what is said in the book is right. Not to worry. "The salt & the water will not separate, but will stay intact. This water mixed with salt has the same gravity as blood -hense the kidneys can not pick up the water, and the blood wont pick up the salt." I never noticed any bloating from all the salt (only really two teaspoons, not nearly the amount in the liver flushes ) and I always get bloated, so it didn’t affect me at all. I felt great too once it all came out. This is more superior to the holisitic docs that don’t care for the emema's , and are against them- and has been said to be as worthwhile and effective (although PAtty, I do both, the enemas helped me too) Just my thoughts on it ---- Original Message ----- From: Trish Trish Sent: Sunday, July 18, 2004 9:44 AM Subject: Re: Re: lemonade fast question/ TO BETH Please, really be careful of all that sodium from the sea salt! Guest guest
Two level teaspoons of uniodized salt to one quart of lukewarm water, taken on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. Be by the bathroom for at least an hour. Re: lemonade fast question/ TO BETH Hello there Beth, I am not sure what the lemonade fast is, but I am doing a 3 day juice fast on Monday. Guest guest
I wasn't too concerned about the magnesium in the liver flushes, as magnesium seems to be needed by most of us who have had implant troubles...is that the reference you were making to the liver flushes? I wasn't aware of any sodium in any of the liver flushes, so I wasn't sure what you were referring to...magnesium is the only thing I can think of! But thanks for the info on the salt bath. I did do it once and it did work on me, although I have heard of others who have done it and had nothing come out. That would be scary! I read the book "Adrift" where the guy was lost at sea for 76 days, and he said it was so important for him not to drink sea water, as thristy as he was, because the salt would ultimately dehydrate him. I guess that is what makes me so leary of all that salt! PattyJOSEPH PALANCA <juliejp61@...> wrote: I was also very concerned with this, as I have the same issue.
