Nazy:

I attended the Barimd nutrition conference last year and found that to be a helpful conference. you can look them up on the web at barimd.com. We may be able to have you visit our surgery center, I will have to get an o.k. from my manager and our surgeons but if they are comfortable with it I will email you again.

Best Regards

Hi everyone, My name is Nazy and I work in Sydney Australia. As you may know, there are only few bariatric surgeons who perform the RYGBP in Australia. I am probably the only dietitian that sees these patients and sometimes feel that I need more support. Therefore I am applying for a scholarship this year with the aim to visit 2-3 centres in the US and Canada and also hope to attend some related conferences. This will probably be any time after September/October 2008.

I have already contacted few dietitians and received great information regarding ASBS conferences but thought I might be able to receive more information by writing to this group.

So could anyone please help me with:

Details of conferences (that you have found beneficial) that I should attend in 2008 Contact details of established bariatric centres that will be happy to have me visit Much appreciated Kind Regards Nazy
