Guest guest
we have a question regarding milk digestion after RNY surgery. our bariatric coordinator tells our patients that they are allowed one serving of milk per day due to the amount of sugar that milk contains. we are wondering if this is practiced in other facilities and if so please explain why? we know that some patients become lactose intolerant after the surgery but where in the small intestines are the simple sugars that milk is comprised of absorbed? any info is appreciated.
