Our surgeon does 7days clear, 3 weeks full, then soft advancing to solids as tolerated. I think this trasition is slower than most programs.

Good morning

Just trying to get a feel for other program's recommendations out there.. what is your diet protocol for the gastric bypass patients post operatively? How quickly are they advanced to a pureed diet and for how long?

Thanks in advance,

We are very conservative and slower than most programs.

Clear liquids begin in hosp and last 7 days

Full liquids: 3 weeks

Puree/Soft: 1 month

Soft solids/adding remaining foods back in: 1 month
