Guest guest
Currently at our clinic, we require a daily MVI with Iron (Centrum Chewable most commonly used), Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D (1200-1800 mg daily divided up into 2-3 doses through the day) and Vitamin B12 (600 mcg 3x weekly or 1200 mcg once a week) for Roux-en-Y patients post op. These values were established when I started here several months ago. I was wondering if it was common practice to supplement Thiamine as well in Roux-en-Y patients, even though there is 100% DV in the MVI (malabsorption?).
