Guest guest
Hi Dimonds girlie! I took Klonopin for along time and never had the hair loss issue. I do think I read somewhere though that it is a rare side effect, or less common but yes, it can happen. The thing that worries me, is that the xanax and klonopin are the same family of drugs, so if your still taking the xanax you may want to look into going off that as well. The only real difference between xanax and klonopin is that the xanax is a short acting benzodiazepine and the klonopin is a longer acting one, which may be why your dr wanted to put you on it. Klon is a great drug for sleep and anxiety and lasts around 12 hours, while xanax is also a great anti anx sleep med that only last 4 hours or so, depending on dosage etc. If the xanax works for you I see no reason to change, but you may want to examine the possiblilty that your reacting to that one with shedding. Hey anything is possible and like I said those drugs are all the same family. I know my sister has been on and off most anti depressants her whole life and has tons of hair, even with those gel implants, so really what effects one does nothing to another. So, you may want to look into the xanax as being a poss cause, in fact maybe taking a vacation from it for a bit. There are some other meds that work pretty well for sleep including ones that are non addicting, so anyhow check it out. My sister just got here so I am going to go for now. I will write soon love ya In , " dimonds68 " <Dimonds6881@h...> wrote: > --I am not home right now, but I have a book at home that has side > effect of perscription meds.
