Guest guest
I usually say 25-30% of their current body wt on average for lap band or bypass. Tell them there is a bell shaped curve and there are some that lose more, some less, but this seems like a pretty good average for both surgeries from various presentations I have studied. I have heard that those that lose on the lower end are typically the type of patient that is wheel chair bound - their wt loss may be even less than the 25%.
