Guest guest
I have also had several patients say that GNC is giving them wrong info and pushing products they don't need. The manager of one store actually told a pt that our surgeon is a friend of his and refers all of his pts. When I asked the surgeon he had no idea who the guy was. Because of this, I started giving pts a seperate supplement " shopping list " (with our specific vit/min/protein rec.'s) to take with them so that a sales person can't mislead them. Our surgeon sells Building Blocks in his office and a lot of out of town pts buy from him (not sure how much of a profit he makes). I also give pts extra handouts in pre-op class that have different brands and websites for bariatric specific supplements. I don't endorse one brand over another and encourage them to do their own search online to find what they like best so they'll be more compliant. Guest guest
Hi , I highly "recommend" and patients can buy for themselves or we can place the order for them via internet or by a phone order. It gets shipped right to their home and I never had to deal with inventory or money unless I want to. Biggest sellers: protein powder, drinks, bars, mvit, fish oil-- you determin the profit. You can call me if you' d like. I work with a specific line. Guest guest
I also sell a line of supplements I like and they are great for the bariatric population because they are isotonic which provides a very unique delivery system. I have a web portal right on my website where clients can purchase directly or I can order as well for them. Biggest sellers multi, calcium, fish oil. I have had great response for the clients I work with who have food sensitivities as well since there are no binders, fillers, artificial ingredients, starch, soy, wheat, dairy, and yeast. Guest guest
Which line of supplements do you sell in your office? I am always looking for alternative products for patients that do not tolerate the one's that I recommend.
