Stool testing/need some advice? anyone?/ GREAT SMOKIES

hey it is me again. Of course I am always talking about a gross

topic like stool and yeast! LOL Anyway, here is my delema. I went to

the doc today. I REALLY tried to get her to give me long term

Nyastin.. NO LUCK. IN FACT I told her i have a bacterial vag.

infection, which was confirmed by a swab test via GYN. She told me,

do some alternatives, and do not use the antibiotic creme. I have

been dealing with this 'bact. infection for over 1 month, trying

to 'CURE it myself " > Anyway, I am taking the vag. antibiotic. So

here is my question: She wants me to send my stool(GROSS), to the

Great Smokies Lab " , to test for yeast. This test is $179.00!!! I

KNOW I have a yeast problem(systemic). I also did this test from

them 3 yrs ago, but never followed up with my doc. to see results.

Soooo, question, should I send my stool to this great smokies???? OR

am I wasting my money and time??? Am I getting scammed? any advice

would be great, or if anyone else did this test??? I know alot of

alternative docs use the great smokies lab. BUT at the same time, I

don't want to feel like I am being scammed. thank u TERRY hugs!

Stool sample can be done in a doc's office and sent to a lab covered by your insurance.
